Hear hear. Although I am Welsh (family & heritage), I was born in England & have lived there for at least half my life. I have no problem with the average England fan & wish them the best. But before the game had EVEN KICKED OFF, Clive Tydelsey's xenophobic rantings immediately switched my support to Trinidad. I don't mind a bit of bias, but he really was too much. Peter Drury too, in the Ecuador v Costa Rica game. There were disaparaging remarks about the standards of the Welsh & Northern Irish National teams and Scottish League by Tydelsey during the game and then these media fuckwits can't understand why the majority of football fans from those three countries want anyone other than England to win. C'mon Sweden and Ecuador/Germany. Don't blame me, blame the media. According to one interview I saw with Lemmy, during Motorheads most successful years, the Lemster was saying that at every gig a guy would appear with a tray of coloured pills and they all just tucked into thier favourite colours....that's a lot of chemicals if you ask me, and I am surprised he's still upright after all that abuse. The Netherlands played ok-ish, but they certainly didn't show their best game. The early goal made life easier and the heat didn't encourage aggressive play. They played a decent first half, but the second they started weak, with a few scary moments in the box. Even keeper Van der Sar didn't always do the right thing, but fortunately no damage resulted. The result is certainly encouraging. I didn't watch Mexico v. Iran. but just saw the highlights on the box. A thoroughly entertaining match. I'm looking forward to Australia's match against Japan tomorrow. Being told by my dad that I came in scooped, woke him up to see if he wanted a cup of tea, then apparently fell asleep naked on the couch with the tv all snow on the screen !!! apparently he came in to see what had became of his cup of tea and found me there I then pulled the plug out of the tv (without switching it off) I woke up in the morning in my bed wondering how I got there. Then even worse went into my dads room in the morning and woke him up again, quizzing him why he pulled out the plug to the tv !!!! Which then led him to tell of my harrowing tale cheers Scsi
