    I have decided to end this dead pool.

     

    My contributions to this forum lately have been non-existing and they'll probably be less frequent in the upcoming months. The reason being is that I have recently been acapted into art school, this has always kind of been a dream of mine, so I want to put as much effort/foccus into it as I can.

     

    I am sorry for this harsh/abrupt discission and I hope that you all understand my motivations for doing this.

     

     

     

    Good luck at art school. A future Van Gough?

    My missus rang me earlier and said "where the hell are you?"... I replied "you know that jewellers where we saw those diamond earrings you really liked?" "yes" she said in a much softer voice "well, i'm in the pub opposite".......

    well it is for us.We're not used to the heat.It's only expected to last 2 or 3 days though so maybe thats not long enough to kill anyone off

     

     

     

    It'll be over by Tuesday, and I'd hardly call 2 days of high tempreatures a heatwave. Maybe our resident weatherman Mr Kettley can confirm this?

    I'm thinking about Turkey for this years holiday. Anybody been? And what's it like?

     

    I went a couple of years ago but it was purely for an 'I can't be arsed to do anything' holiday so I can't tell you anything about sight-seeing etc, so obviously no help at all - we went all inclusive at a hotel, first two weeks of August, it was fucking boiling, I sat by the pool for two weeks eating food, drinking beer and sleeping. Loved it.

     

     

     

    That sounds ideal LB. My other half likes exploring the places we visit. I'm happy lying on a sun bed all day and getting pissed at night.

    Sainsbury's. The cheese-pairing bastards have just sent a letter to Mrs Godot. She hasn't had a pay increase in three years and they've cut her rates "using a standardised formula" based on "extensive data analysis." I'd like to take their letter and stuff it up Jamie Oliver's arse. I bet they haven't cut his rates. A plea to all Deathlisters: please boycott Sainsbury's.

     

    Sorry to hear that Godot, what a terrible way to treat staff. Sadly I will not be able to boycott Sainsbury's. I live in a town with no supermarket, our nearest Tesco and Asda are 22 miles away and I don't drive. What passed for a supermarket in Kelso, Haldanes, went into administration last week and closed yesterday. After a 10 year battle Sainsbury's won the battle to build a superstore on the outskirts of town. It opens at the end of the summer. While I tend to by my meat, poultry, bread and eggs from local shops, having Sainsbury's on the doorstep is going to be a damn site cheaper and easier than spending £8 on bus fares and enduring 4 hour round trip to get to Tesco in Galashiels just to pick up washing powder etc.

    The other 16 of us will though. It'll bring them to their knees.

     

     

    Yeah!!!!!! That'll fucking teach them.
