Zsa Zsa for me!! Although she has let me down before you know.

Agreed. I'm just comparing the news coverage so far - Whitney's death was wall to wall for over 24 hours, Armstrong's death the main headline news but not the only thing happening in the world. Of course, Whitney's death was more surprising (well, that's debatable but anyway...) and was an unnatural death and so ripe for endless speculation, whereas Armstrong's demise is a natural one - an old man dies following complications of heart surgery. I'm wondering who could possibly top Neil Armstrong as the year's biggest death, barring unnatural demises. The Queen is probably the only person; Paul McCartney at a push. Even Thatcher and Mandela pale into insignificance in my opinion. Wonder no more! The biggesst death this year (if it happens) will be that of Pete's brother Andrew Andre, celeb magazine to magazine coverage for weeks and weeks, all the other 2012 deaths will pale into insignificance under the weight of the Andre family media machine with the helpof Max Clifford.

I'm afraid not PB, only three are born and reside in the UK, Grace Jones and Ethel Lang are both 112 years old and Irene Pearce is 111 years old. Amelia England at 112 years old was born in the UK but now resides in the US. I included all 43 worldwide supercentenarians (born before the death of Quenn Vic) to give the thread longevity, but accept by defination that they are not Victorians in the truer sense, although we did rule two thirds of the world's land mass back then. Wow, Really? Only 43 people in the world are survivors of the Victorian era? I suppose thinking about it, that must be a correct (ish?) figure. There are only 21 people still alive and born before 31/12/1899, ( and have been verified). The youngest and only brit being Grace Jones 112 years and 263 days, that makes Grace Britain's oldest living person and the only britton still alive from the 19th century that has been verified!! I wonder if she will get an orbit? although it will have no value to DL or DDP. Interesting though it is.

There are currently 43 people born in the Victorian era living today, Queen Victoria dying on 22/01/1901. 41 Women & 2 Men. Let's count them down here over the next predicted 11 years, assuming the youngest currently aged at 111 years old becomes the oldest verified living person ever at 122 years old. Regards PP

Ideas And Possibilities For 2013
Perfect Passing replied to The Unknown Man's topic in DeathList Forum
In view of the World's oldest living person, Besse Cooper due to have her 116th Birthday on the 26th August (according to Wiki) I was wondering about the last person on the planet born in the 19th century to finally pass on. I know it's not in the Death List Rules to have the death be the fact that makes the obits, however, with all of the top ten worlds oldest people been verified as been born between 1896 & 1899 the end is very close for that generation. Something I think is worth a mention, especially as we are only in this position once every 100+ years, and that the information is out there for first time with our generation. -

Well he won't be facing the death penalty, has no serious illnesses that we know of (physically at least), is only 33 and doesn't strike me as the suicidal type. He didn't try to top himself like mass spree-killers typically do. So I would say no. Agreed. Breivik is a poor choice for the DeathList. James Holmes is a better choice because there's a good chance he actually will get the death penalty. Yea i agree I think if he wanted to commit suicide he would of done it after he killed all the people , he would of turned the gun on himself. I can only see him dying in the next 20 years in prison if he is attacked and killed by a fellow inmate. Are you talking about Breivik or Holmes or Both? I think both are in danger from fellow inmates, especially Holmes! Although it does depend on if either of them will end up in a nice padded cell! -
Zsa Zsa Gabor will be next, I'm certain of it! (But not certain enough to put my own life on it!!) Go Zsa Zsa! Go!

How about Frazer Hines who played Ma Sugden's son Joe Sugden? Has suffered with colorectal cancer, although not life threatening, I accept. A fictional Mother/Son Combo for 2013!

Wow, I was certian that Sir Alastair had left us sometime ago. I was that certain, I never imagined that this thread would even be in existence. A quality Spitting Image character though, that made the show even funnier, when he was portrayed on it! Now makes me wonder, how's Sir Trevor McDonald doing? Another Spitting Image Icon!!

New Here And Just Saying Hello

Hi PP here! Is this the place to ask the following question, that has been on my mind since being validated (other than thinking about death) How many of the original novice deathlisters from Warwick University 1986 are there? And who are they? i.e registered names. I figure that if they have been deathlisting for the last 26 Years, then they deserve a big-up-nuth-respect-in-the-area!! -
Okay, I choose Number 35, Jake Lomotta, the other side of the pond must be due a hit!

What's The Appopriate Number Of Times A Celebrity's Death Should Be Posted Here?
Perfect Passing replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList Forum
I'm no techy and know diddly squat about web pages, but would a running ticker be of any use? Showing the latest posts on the 'Dead of 2012' thread, thus, others would see that it has already been posted and stop duplications. This may be a massive undertaking! But I find the 24hr news tickers very helpful when wanting a quick update on the world, especially when there is a Breaking News alert!! -

Not so sure PP, if it had been a spur of the moment thing maybe, but he planned this for years and knew the outcome. He wanted his time in court, and the fan mail he has undoubtably recieved will boost the ego. Wouldn't be surprised if he views himself as a 'Leader'............ You may be right Charon, We may a have better idea on his state of mind when/if he reacts to his conviction and sentencing. Can I be the first to suggest him onto the Deathlist 2052!!! -

With Breivik considering himself as some kind of soldier, fighting a war, I think it will dawn on him in 2013 after either few months (of being drugged up to the eye balls in a mental institute, or in solatry confinement) that the world has moved on and that he lost! Game Over!! -

15 years tops, plus Lockerbie Bomber was probably 95 % not guilty as charged...... FFS, it was tried under Scots Law so should have been 'not proven'. I agree with you Charon that Megrahi was the fall guy in the horrific Lockerbie Bombing, but not completey innocent of the whole situation. I was considering the posibility of Breivik not lasting to the end of 2013, as he stated in his final court speech yesterday, that if he was sentenced as a nut job and sent to a mental institute for the rest of his days, he would consider that to be 'a fate worse than death', or the alternative is life in a maximuim security prison where he will never be able to push his right wing agenda, eitherway, I think the he will take his own life. I am certian that that is how he is wired, thus an easy hit for all the deathlisters!! -

As we are now awaiting the conviction of complete nutcase Anders Behring Breivik, but not yet certain how the establishment are going to deal with such a lowlife scum! Can I suggest that he be on the 2013 List? Kind of a replacement for the Lockerbie Bomber, i.e a person we would all be happy to know has "left the planet" -

Thanks for the very strong case Ronan, to have HRH Prince Phillip on next years list, I think the committe need to consider the following: For his 91 years he has had the very best of lifestyles with minimuim stress and the very best food that money can obtain, not to mention the top doctors who will be paid a fortune to keep the old chap going. As for his recent health scares, his last hospital admission for a urine infection had probably more to do with him stood on a barge during the jubilee river pageant for 5 hours+ in the pouring rain, when he should have being planning his comfort breaks better!! I feel sorry for the poor sod that upholstered them two lovely seats on the royal barge for Phil & Liz to sit on, of which neither of them even bothered, what a waste!! -

Not sure if this guy has been suggested? Financier and cricket mogul Allen Stanford just sentenced to 110 years in jail for a $7 billion scam. In view of him starting a very long time in the pokey, could this be a potential 2013 candidate? -

Hello Everyone!! Perfect Passing here, Many thanks for the super fast validation. This sight is fantastic, always been fascinated by the demise of the famous and now I am in internet heaven everytime Iog in! -
My first punt at this 'next to go' situation. I pick Oscar Niemeyer, purely on age, this guy must be close to seeing his own 'architectural review' from his maker.
