Ah, thanks, yes, I am confused, but I think the one who died was picked in the DDP, judging from the DDP description. It's the monk, not the filmmaker (they're all freedom fighters and all were or are imprisoned). However the DDP birth year ("Born 1961") might be wrong and belonging to the filmmaker, not the monk.

Jigme Gyatso, Tibetian freedom fighter died a month ago at age 56. https://tibet.net/jigme-gyatso-an-esteemed-former-tibetan-political-prisoner-dies-at-56-from-chinese-oppression/ It says he died of Chinese oppression at home. He was released from prison in 2016 and already in poor health. Not an unnatural death according to our definitions, which might be important, because he's a DDP pick. But an obit seems unlikely now.

    What's on the Telly?

I kind of expected more soap operas, but then Falcon Crest got banned... But yeah, where's Dynasty, Dallas, or my second choice Santa Barbara, The Bold and The Beautiful, Golden Girls, etc, etc..... I also thought The Love Boat would have been too risky to pick...

    Death By Numbers 2022

Time for an update. First new hit, now already a month ago, is Bond theme composer Monty Norman. Unpicked in the DDP but here a unique hit for The Daredevil. Norman was a singer himself before turning to compositional work, not just for film music but also for big stars like Cliff Richard and Bob Hope. And then we have the names thankfully mentioned above. Michael Barratt, another Gooseberry Crumble unique hit, and Lily Safra a unique hit for Pedro. Vin Scully was picked by two teams. And then of course, national treasure Bernard Cribbins and international treasure Nichelle Nichols. Carl Kabat has to wait for an obit. I think The New York Times seems like a reasonable bet. Even more hits: Bill Russell was a unique pick for GuyFromFuture. I don't know... seems like half the picks lately are unique picks by either GuyFromFuture or The Daredevil... On the other hand, Fidel Ramos, the former president of the Phillipines, was a unique hit for Joe Moneypenny, congratulations! Then James Lovelock, yes, him, too. A pick for two teams. And apparently, Francisco Morales Bermudez is missing, too, a unique hit for chileanway. I guess I need shorter time periods between updates. I think this might be it, let me know if not. The standings are as follows: Rank Team Score 1 Banana 1117 2 msc 997 3 Salmon Mousse 993 4 An Fear Beag 971 5 gcreptile 948 6 Joey Russ 889 7 Book 871 8 Predictor 799 9 Cpt. So twitter tells me that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have split up after nine months... Such a shame. I would have thought the contract lasted at least a year.

    Derby Dead Pool 2022

No confirmation of al-Zawahiri's death from al-Qaeda so far. Even the Taliban seem a bit unsure, but it's probably because they don't want to confirm that he was present in Kabul. We have to wait until I can award the points, I think.

    ABC Deadpool V: 2021-22 season

Is it over, lol? Well, Wormfarmer closes it down tomorrow. I can wait, but I also accept preliminary congratulations! The old lady could still win, by the way, if Lisa Lu has been found to have died before August and additionally, if she obits tomorrow... or if Jyrki Kasvi (spelling?) gets a QO in the next hours. Admittedly, it's unlikely, and yet, I am in awe how close it was. Great performance by theoldlady. I had a bit of help, because of my Cup win last year. That research paid off twice (e.g. Carl Bean, Albert Raboteau). It could have paid off three times, but I was too stupid to win the Poker Pool because I used my joker too soon.

    Do You Actually Research?

^^ Oh, I think that will be difficult... maybe a specialist can have a look at it? Costs money though. Sometimes, some data can still be extracted, but that's also expensive. Otherwise, you might get lucky, try different USB ports, different computers, etc.... just make sure you don't re-format it.
