So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
gcreptile replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Upload season 2 on Amazon. About life and death and life after death and so on. I forgot that the X-files smoking guy William Davis was in it. Looked a bit haggard, but in other scenes still okay, just old. The show is nice, episodes are short and float by. -
Rapper Goonew shot dead at 24: https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-rapper-goonew-dead-aged-26513778 Not terribly notable, still "breaking news".

Heh, well, I am sure the creator of these videos will let us know. And honestly, he's been looking dead for 2-3 months now. It's really unbelievable.

Oh, it's the Corey Feldman kind of crazy where you don't know if they were actually being abused, or if their child stardom fucked them up, or if they were crazy from the start. -

King Salman in hospital: https://en.dailypakistan.com.pk/16-Mar-2022/saudi-king-hospitalised-for-minor-heart-procedure Just a minor procedure for his pacemaker battery this time, but he article also mentions his previous gallbladder surgery. We have mentioned something like that in 2020, but now the article speaks of "gallbladder removal", maybe that was a more recent second surgery?

I've picked him here and there before for years. He looked bad 10 years ago, but lasted impressively long. He just had his birthday 2 weeks ago, nothing seemed different from the years before.

Derek Draper actually seems to finally be improving. Here he's pictured on a wheelchair in the garden: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10616953/Kate-Garraways-frail-husband-Derek-Draper-smiles-creates-garden.html

Great work tallying up the scores! I just take them as they are ;). But yes, the problem is that the winning strategy here is simply to jump from one hospice case to another. I basically submitted a team with about 10 bad picks, because I knew that as long as I can replace the good picks with other good picks, I can score well. Now, such a game might be a good idea, because it's something we don't really have yet. But I think it is not what you wanted it to be? In this case, I would suggest closing it down. An opportunistic pool wouldn''t even need a beginners' pool of 20. Maybe only 10. Once you are above 10 you run out of "good" names, and you end up with people like, say, Pelé, who might take their time. Introducing some kind of queue might be interesting though. Then the game becomes some kind of "mid-distance run". We don't have a lot of games like that, maybe only the Poker Pool with it's 7 months.

Heh, well, Deborah James has been accused of "sexyfying" her cancer battle not too long ago. And very practically, it's looking much more sincere to just make it quick like Nadia Chaudhri did.

Robert Wagner? https://www.suggest.com/robert-wagner-sad-last-days-haunted-natalie-woods-death-rumor-allegedly/2621959/ The headline is muuuch worse than what the already hysterical article says.

Beware of the DELTACRON: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/11/what-is-deltacron-covid-variant-uk First reports of such a variant in January turned out to be false. But now it's here.

This will be a long-distance run. Spade's team can be caught, because he has some weaknesses, or picks that currently appear as weaknesses, plus the failed COVID gamble. But his early rush means he threw down the gauntlet and the winner will have to achieve at least 15 hits, only to surpass him. I think Gary Burgess might be the biggest consensus joker since...ever? Or at least since I play the game. Burgess reminds me of Joey Feek, another year that turned out to be a monster scoring year. The Ronnie Hellström non-obit is obviously a big hindrance for Banana and msc. I liked Perhaps' team, too, but there's Dan Lacey. Smart Beta (and I) could use the Alagiah/Turnbull double. And I like to think that I am still eligible for the full 20/20, but Woodmore and Kashi are obit gambles, I have to check back again in/around July. And I think the healthiest person on my team might actually be Jerry Lee Lewis.
