That post you quoted actually had me predicting the death of Prince three days before it happened... And about OG Maco, we are never wrong here, just maybe a little too early sometimes.

Thanks, Toast, interesting, but not that much news for our purposes.

The Mirror has an article about the family trying to prevent the publication of some information. Interestingly, I can't open it. The article is probably specifically blocked for german IP addresses because the family doesn't fuck around.

Down Under model, and occasional actress, Virginia Hey has had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma spread everywhere, and for a while she seemed on the way out. But after she started to receive immunotherapy, the cancer has reduced in size: https://www.newidea.com.au/celebrity/virginia-hey-cancer/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Hey

My team has been posted. Have a feeling the year went by too fast, and I'd need another week or two - but... it's time.

McConnell is speaking against RFK Jr.'s plan to ban the Polio vaccine: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/12/13/mcconnell-polio-vaccine-trump-cabinet/ Understandable and correct. McConnell had Polio as a child. Not the first time McConnell has spoken out against Trump 2.0. I suspect he's trying to hang on as long as he can to counter future idiocies, because McConnell is evil but not dumb. Problem is, he's running out of juice. I think he's already giving all he's got and it looks likely to me now that he won't see the end of his term.

Thread for former US Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, now 81 years old: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitch_McConnell Lately, he's been freezing in front of cameras and just today, it happened again: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/30/mitch-mcconnell-freezes-struggles-to-speak-in-second-incident-this-summer.html He also suffered a fall last year, and had a suspiciously swollen and reddish hand. There might be all kinds of blood circulation issues, maybe a series of mini-strokes. Seems like he might beat Dianne Feinstein to the punch. He's also a little more notable than her, having presided over the Senate for six years, and being responsible for changing the Supreme Court, by blocking Obama's judges, and basically inventing the 60-seat filibuster, meaning, if you want to get something done in the Senate, you need 60 votes now.

This year, there already died more people from selfies than from shark attacks, twelve, to be precise: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/11881900/More-people-have-died-by-taking-selfies-this-year-than-by-shark-attacks.html And just this week, a japanese tourist died by falling from Taj Mahal by taking a selfie: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-34287655 Last month, a man died in Spain by taking a selfie with an approaching bull: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/man-taking-selfie-gored-death-6225812 It seems that some moments are so precious that they are worth dying for. The alternative would be that these people are simply careless, vain people who have forgotten their common sense because for them, there is no life outside of their electronic device, take your pick...

I expected two more hits for my AltObituaries team in Decembre. One was turkish singer/dancer Tanyeli - and one I also hoped for was Laukkanen. Finally an ALS pick that does not fail for me.

Eddie Jordan has been in treatment for metastatic bladder and prostate cancer, but has a good prognosis: https://www.planetf1.com/news/eddie-jordan-reveals-cancer-diagnosis-in-new-health-update Had almost made a thread for him...but I think he might not be such a 2025 slam dunk.

Oh, stage 4 bowel cancer in Decembre.... Reminds me of Greg Gilbert.

So, How's Your 2025 Shortlist Looking?
gcreptile replied to Death Impends's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
So I did find a name this morning who might replace Jody Gormley on my main team - though the person is not joker-worthy. They would be, I guess, if they were unique, and they will almost be. But I suspect they're going to be on a team that I have shared non-obiting and non-dying names before as well. -
I get Joe Biden vibes from him. Will Bolsonaro run again?
-
Damn, that was fast, and damn, would have jokered him in everything. He had more co-morbidities, so it does not surprise that much.
-
Oh, he's a sexy revolutionary... too dangerous.
