Let's keep a watch on his twitter feed. The decline has started if we don't hear from him there in the next week or so.

Brother Kieran reveals that the Culkin mother, Patricia Brentrup, has been having health problems lately and has hardly watched any episodes of Kieran's show Succession: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12971441/Kieran-Culkins-mother-revealed-poor-health.html

I am sure it will be resolved soon.

Brazilian butt lift?

Wow, that would be a sensation. But I expect that there will be a tent that hides him.

Only one unique pick for my main team, but it's a Yahoo obit lock in "hospice". So quite the success. But then it's being "in hospice care" with advanced Parkinson's and Steve McCoy is only in his 60s. So maybe I'm a little overconfident in his passing. I guess we'll see. I am somewhat disappointed that my former Love Boat pick Andrea Gibson is still unique. Now, she's apparently not much closer to dying as she was a year ago, but I expected at least some Diana Rots-ing of her. I am totally stunned that Aussie rugby pick Toni Hunt is unique. Her cancer came back just a week after remission. If I had known, I might have main team-ed her. I'm also stunned that activist Harry Edwards is unique. Completely unexpected. However, I am very proud that classy pick Jan AP Kaczmarek is a unique pick for me. He's in very ill health and a fairly likely hit.

Curious case, president of football club Hertha BSC Berlin, Kay Bernstein, dies of a heart attack at 43: https://www.sportschau.de/regional/rbb/rbb-hertha-praesident-kay-bernstein-mit-43-jahren-gestorben-100.html He got into office in 2022 as the fans' choice, being a member of the Fan community himself.

The most puzzling name I got through in AltObits. But I guess they didn't know where to draw the line with prominent chefs.

The committee definitely had a golden hand this year.

I'd like to volunteer for photos.

Well, Jane McAlevey was even picked by a 3rd person. So it's only David Elmore Smith that I spoiled. I think he's good enough for a main team, as a competetive pick, but then I thought that he might be too much bottom of the barrel for the main team.

Heh, well, Grim Up North left the committee over a year ago for Banana. I am leaving the committee now (except, maybe, for some last questions for the transition). I will hand over the score updates and all matters of database-related issues to our veteran forum member time. From what I've seen so far, he will be an excellent successor. The DDP will be lucky to have him. He has already updated a few scores last month and is currently setting up the 2024 game. Best of luck!

Bobi's title as world's oldest dog has been revoked, for now: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/worlds-oldest-dog-loses-title-as-investigators-probe-true-age-td885bqbb

Yeah, he was in the running for almost every month of my last year's DeathList Cup game, but I never added him to my AltObits draft. Stupid.

You were unlucky not to have a daily double with all these quick hits. Well done for picking these quick goners. I think one should go for those low-scoring but soon-to-be-on-their-way-out picks if a daily double is in reach. But Rana should definitely have obited by now. So I assume they were not working on 2024 these past two days, so maybe Cochrane is still to be counted with the nhl.com obit which "should" be respected enough.

Well... I accept, lol I think it's over now, scores updated for Johnny Ruffo's bonus. Now, more recently, I think my pick Glen Cochrane managed the rare feat of not getting a QO in spite of being accepted.

I have added the seeds / seedings (??) to the player list. The order of seed is => last year's final round => points achieved in the final game of last year's game => order of signing up for this year. TQR and me have already rejected playing this year. Among last year's top 32, we still haven't heard from Grim Up North and Pop Zeus. With 39 players as of right now, we'd have to lose 7 more players for a Top 32 in Round Two, i.e. 7 matches in Round 1 => 14 players. So the top 25 players would get a free pass. With 3 top-seeded players not playing, automatic passes go down to seed no. 28. But you have 5 more days to sign up!

They're waiting on Kate Beckinsale's next instagram post. But I also expect a Telegraph obit eventually.

Looks like nobody followed up on that, including myself....
