Ah well, I've made worse threads... ok, one worse thread, the one for Angelina Jolie. Live and let live (or die, in our case).

Apparently, Scalise's office said that he was in good condition, while the hospital tweeted that he "remains" in critical condition, i.e. was critical before. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/update-steve-scalise-condition So his office is still playing political games by downplaying gun violence.

Maybe it was Trump's doctor, who probably said that Scalise is the healthiest shooting victim ever.

Patricia Knatchbull, countess of Mountbatten and cousin of Prince Philipp, dead: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/prince-philips-cousin-countess-mountbatten-10623753 Edit: List of the Missed Entry, apparently. Edit: Oops, posted in the Prince Philipp thread, which is another forum section, which is why my search didn't find it.

His previous cancer scare was a tumour in his throat. So there could be indeed be some heavier problems. But you may disregard my posts

Oh dear, next Shameless fatality Gemma Nuttall now has the support of Kate Winslet: http://www.itv.com/news/granada/2017-06-13/kate-winslet-supports-campaign-for-cancer-stricken-lancashire-mum/

Nah, Van Zandvliet is worth 9 pts. You go from 62 to 71, level with Carkers Convention. The B-Team goes from 68 to 77, level with The Living End. The Living End is currently 21st. Carkers Convention is currently 23rd but loses a place to The B-Team => 24th. Edit: You probably posted just that, let me see...
-
Actually, you don't, because The B-Team has him as well! Edit: Wait! Sorry, it's still 25th place. Edit: No, actually I was even more wrong as it's shared 24th place.

Surely BBC/Sky sports and/or Mirror?

Lee Ryan, formerly of boy band Blue, and now on EastEnders hospitalised with something called quinsy, some kind of complication from tonsilitis. He also recently had a cancer scare that I forgot about - if I ever knew. http://home.bt.com/lifestyle/health/health-concerns/lee-ryan-rushed-to-hospital-with-quinsy-what-is-the-infection-11364187343898

Shaun should run one big pool instead of several smaller ones :hint:.

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
gcreptile replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Rayya Elias is at 5,04pts, out of 9 possible, in my database, so you'd "only" gain 4 pts with her. Gord Downie is at 9,72pts (out of 12 possible) so once he's dead everyone gains "only" 2,28pts, though as your joker, he counts twice, so you gain 2,28pts against everyone else. Then you'd be at 16th place. The big score pushes come from successful punts. al-Baghdadi and Colin Butts would each give you a bonus of roughly 6pts in here. And if they all die right now, Van Zandvliet, Downie, Elias, al-Baghdadi and Butts, you'd be around place 6-7 (The Living End would gain more with joker al-Baghdadi, maybe someone else, too). So yes, top 10 is still very much possible. You just need everything to go your way from now on. -
The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
gcreptile replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Ugh, I just noticed an extremely dumb mistake. During the last update I checked how the scores would change if I assumed that person XYZ had died. But apparently, I forgot to reverse the score of one particular person back to the expected score. That person that is now basically dead and with qualifying obit in my database, although he isn't dead yet, is Paul Van Zandvliet. So the scores above are as they would be if Van Zandvliet died now, but everything else stayed the same. Apologies... And I must have checked the score change pretty late because I didn't notice that one of the first teams in my excel file, Pan Preed, would re-enter the Top 20 with Van Zandvliet's death. With Van Zandvliet dead Pan Breed would be at 20th place, not This Mortal Coil... Well, reality might be at that point soon.... I also forgot that Van Zandvliet had turned 50, but at least the database knew... -
Bringing this up again. I consider my own team the one team that most likely gets 20/20 hits, however unrealistic, simply because my worst pick - Spiridonov - is still more likely to die than Charles Bradley... BUT: I think there's a pretty good chance that TJS actually, for real, gets 19 out of 20. That's why the Perez obit was so crucial. And no other team has such a good chance to get the same number of hits, by far.

Oh, big news... well, it's been 7 years now, and those years were probably far more work than when Big Iain started it all. So, many tips of all my hats to Mr. Man In Black. You did a wonderful job. Of course, I have no doubts that Spade will run it well, he just has big shoes to fill. In a way, it's just one more step on Spade's course to become the world's "Mr. Deadpooling". Will there be a final title? I'm actually not so sure. But then, I could imagine him still winning it as a host - if he decided to make an effort.

Apparently, there's an epidemic among conductors right now and they are all turning sick leading them to cancel their concerts; http://slippedisc.com/2017/06/two-more-maestros-drop-out-this-is-beyond-a-joke/ -

I wonder if he'll opt for a hole in the ground like Saddam Hussein. -
We've become too good. The most popular picks are also more in danger of dying.

Thanks for the confidence Joey. I'd be pleased with a Top 5-finish after reaching 8th place last year. Considering Nevin, Campbell, Johnson, Casper and Kobayashi could all be dead by tomorrow it's not even as far-fetched as the current scoreboard would tell.

Sad. I thought she stopped cancer blogging because she was healed. Perhaps it returned sneakily and without symptoms. The obit might be in the hands of Mr. Secret Mirror writer.
