Hm, yes, you're right. I can see it now on the phone. The mobile app seems better for this than the desktop version.

I always check her and Iris Apfel in tandem. Baddie Winkle is still alive, as far as I know. Her daughter (or granddaughter?) posted something not too long ago. She looks still okay. But yeah, she might have retired from flexing.

Good one. Yes, last year, there was a minor poet who slipped by (Guardian obit). I discovered it 4 months late or so, unmentioned on the forum, etc.... Sometimes these obits appear months late, you know how it goes. The Times/Telegraph deep state aristocrats are also a likely object of such a missed obit. I will, of course, check, for any missed hits before the year is up. I think that I also have to write something else next weekend. Nothing dramatic, but you know, I didn't sign up for this job for life.

Eric Braeden declares himself cancer-free, somewhat setting himself up for a later surprise, maybe: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12407565/The-Young-Restless-star-Eric-Braeden-82-declares-cancer-free-damn-thing.html

Yeah, thought so when NYT showed up. Henry Kamm was a different case, because he was an NYT employee.
-
That's sad... Just two weeks ago he was "making progress" in his cancer recovery: https://www.yardbarker.com/nhl/articles/maple_leafs_rodion_amirov_reportedly_making_progress_in_cancer_recovery/s1_14825_39074657 A classic 50:50 gamble for deadpooling. I'm surprised so few people picked him, but then, I didn't myself.

There's a theory he buried her there for tax reasons, there exists a tax reduction for cemeteries.
-
Well, this is a winner.

I don't know if there is a reason. The question "Why?" is a little overrated, maybe... But then why did the universe decide to create life and consciousness? Some people will say, it's just chemicals and proteins, etc.... And eventually, you wonder why the universe exists at all. The lazy answer is that if it wouldn't exist, nobody would be asking the question. Maybe there is no why, maybe it's just "it is because it must be". An axiom.

Yes, and I might be heading for the "most hits" deduction.... So, I think the pool is not decided yet, though I'm not the only one with Kissinger! You don't have him, but you do have Bob Barker, who would however only a -7.
-
Henry Dickerson is a hit for two, as posted elsewhere. I wonder if I can now compensate for Henry Kissinger surviving the year, which is a -11 penalty (which only dawned on me last week).

I guess Henry Dickerson died 10 days too late to give me the win: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/beckley-native-henry-dickerson-dies-003800271.html
