Surprised Howard Marks isn't on there, and there seems to be an abundance of 'old' people but overall it looks a good list. There's no-one on there that I've gone "who?" or "FFS" at.

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Vinegar Tits replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
Denis Norden was on Peston & Marr's chat show on Radio 4 over the summer. He said he was absolutely fighting fit apart from age-related macular degeneration. Of course, at his age it doesn't take much to finish someone off but I'd say he's good for a couple of years yet. -
Whilst the Daily Mail is a legimate (well, I suppose that's quesitonable, but that's an argument for another time) source, I also wonder whether it's US-aimed clickbait celebs should be allowed. So many of the so-called 'celebs' have absolutely zero name recognition over here - had anyone really heard of Joey Feek in the UK before doing a search for 'ill people' on the DM website? Anyway, mine have been entered. Our main team has probably got a unique hit on it who should obit in the UK (ironically, they're probably a dead cert for a mention in the Daily Mail) but they've only been included because my sister who lives in Australia is cynical about a certain person finally getting their arse Down Under after many times cancelling. A bit cryptic I know but all will be revealed by this time tomorrow unless I end up in hospital again (a distinct possibility, and it doesn't have wi-fi). I don't think they'll die anyway. In the last few years adding people to our DDP team is akin to granting eternal life.

Perhaps he got the news a couple of months back and kept it to himself? Though you'd think he'd have to say something due to touring commitments. He does look like he's rapidly wasting away in that Bataclan comment clip.

She's got lots of dates lined up for 2016. Mind you, so did Motorhead...

Legend is a much overused word these days but it's appropriate for Lemmy. Only saw Motorhead the once, back in 2007. They were LOUD. He's also a small twig on my sleep (NOT f***, sleep) tree. He once did a Q&A on Popbitch. It used to be online somewhere but I can't find it. As is my wont, I asked him about The Nolans.

I worked with Shirley Stelfox on Emmerdale (Batley growled at me). She was lovely. Sad news -

Another person I've seen live. Saw STP at Reading festival in 1993. They were pretty good, the crowd were... rough to put it mildly. Sad news though. Marginally more surprising than when Layne Staley copped it but not by much. -
Love Me Do drummer Andy White dies age 85

TV's second most famous Welshman after Talfryn Thomas, Richard Davies from loads of things including Please Sir, has died according to David 'Frankie Abbott' Barry. No obits yet but probably will be in the next few hours.

Is 717 dead a Hajj record?

That is a fabulous quote. Though technically incorrect - U2 *is* Larry's band. Was at the beginning and always will be. Ask the rest of U2. Dolores has always been a bit of an up-herself cow with OCD tendancies. The rest of the band are lovely.

Won't mean much to anyone from outside of West Yorkshire, but local legend Bradford Jesus Man Geoffrey Brindley has died after a fall at his home. There can't many people in Bradford in the last 50-odd years who didn't see him walking about, waving and smiling to people as he went. A sweet gentle man and a massive loss to Bradford. RIP.

Harry the tramp from Lindenstrasse has died. Harry Rowohlt was also a writer. -
Can't find any obits yet other than on their Facebook page but Flesh For Lulu's Nick Marsh has died of cancer

Didn't we used to have a thread especially for MTM alumni, before Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper, Ed Asner and Betty White got their own threads? Ann Meara played Sally in Rhoda, who kind of took over for a season as Rhoda's friend after Rhoda and Joe split up. She was also bloody terrifying in Fame (the film) as Mrs Sherwood. A fine actress. RIP.

For anyone wanting an up date on Charles Aznavour - he was on Vivement Dimanche today on TV5 Monde (so it's a show from a couple of weeks ago). As I've mentioned earlier in this thread, he's currently on a 'farewell' tour. He does look quite frail - and definitely more so than a year or so ago, and his hands are a little shaky, but otherwise he's in fine fettle. Obviously a fall or a bout of illness could finish anyone his age off, but otherwise he's good for at least another five years in my opinion. -
UK entrant for 1962-3 Ronnie Carroll dies. No doubt the obits will Say Wonderful Things about him.
-
Progeria sufferer Hayley Okines dies aged 17. Sad if inevitable news. She seemed an incredibly brave and sweet girl.

I was watching old Airplane/Starship videos and interviews last night on You Tube. I feel the above news is therefore my fault. He's 74 by the way, not 71 that the above article states.

Peter Seabrook turns up on Radio Kent's Sunday morning gardening phone-in from time to time. Sounds chipper enough. I worked with him a number of times - he's a lovely bloke. Sadly for a such a fan of flowers, he's lost his sense of smell.
