Hello! Our beloved musical melée Kill or Save has recently started it’s 21st edition, and with that, we are bestowed with the key to the door. And that door leads to…anyfuckingthing we like. Whether you’ve never missed a day since Book kicked off the first game in October 2022 and changed the landscape of this godforsaken forum, you dip in and out when the mood takes you, or you’ve never played before, feel free to join in whenever you want for this: the themed games. This is a chance for all of us players to have a turn in leading a round of Kill or Save, with a theme of their choosing. Whether that theme be an artist, a genre, an era, a letter, a colour, an animal, a vegetable, a mineral, whatever, just make a list of songs (the size is up to you but don’t take the piss either way) in-keeping with that theme and make yourself known in the Kill or Save Hub. Then when one of these mini-games ends and it’s your turn, show us what you’ve got and we’ll decide upon a winner via our tried and tested method of a daily +4 and -6. Have a theme you want to play? As with the usual KoS games, here are the rules: Each song starts with 20 points (whether it deserves it or not). You can vote once a day. Since we all live in different parts of the world with all sorts of different timezones, please add a date at the top of your votes to avoid any confusion (e.g. Thu 25 Jul, 25/7/24 etc). Each day you may add up to 4 points to and subtract 6 points from any song on the board. You can split your points between as many songs as you like (well, within whole numbers). You must use all six minus points (unless it’s a round-ending turn) and give at least one plus point. Placeholder posts are allowed, but if you don't edit your votes within 5 minutes, then the next person can go and do their votes. Consecutive votes are not allowed, so no hogging either side of midnight; wait your turn. Before voting, please listen to any songs in the round you don’t know and vote according to your own opinions (of the songs, not the artists or indeed the other posters voting for them) Make sure you copy and paste the most recent voter's scoreboard when you take your turn to score. For your own ease, ‘paste as plain text’ to get rid of the previous poster’s formatting. Then, delete their +/- scores, add yours, adjust the song’s points total and make your scores bold. All clear?
