Banshees Scream

The Legend Of "Old" Tom Parr

Recommended Posts

This is a very strange story that i came across to. It was about a man who supposedly lived to be 152 years of age. If this acually were true it would be

godlike. Even as of today the oldest documented person was 128 this would have made him live another 24 years?? His lifespan is said to be 1483 - 1635

You have to treat these cases with extreme scepticism,

often what happens is they "inherit" their parent’s birth date/certificate.

People want to be famous in their area, claiming a long life is one way of doing this.

The fact that when he was 100, he supposedly fathered an illegitimate child is a dead give away – this was long before the invention of SPAM.

I am not sure if Vaigra would have worked for him. The only example I have been able to come up with a 100 year-old fathering a child was Abraham from the Bible and he required God's assistance. ;)

Vaigra certainly wouldn't have worked, SPAM might have though.

Julio Iglesias's dad fathered a child at 89. And didn't Charlie Chaplin have a child when he was over 80? And then there's Scotty from Star Trek - a daddy at 80-odd.

I'd better shut up now for fear of turning this into the birthlist.

It's a shame he's dead. A super soft target (almost runny) like that would be a fine addition to a poor deathlist.

Tom Parr the life and times of 152 years of watching the world drifting passed era after era. A man who slowed the process that we all meet down the twisted maze of time. I'm down to nothing with this, but if you want my opinion on how to live a life something like Ol Thomas Parr I think happiness in your heart, and value in your mind are worth some deal.
