A Question of Sporting Deaths

Recommended Posts

I caught a few minutes of a repeated programme looking at the history of A Question of Sport.

I was amazed to see Cliff Morgan playing golf with Henry Cooper. Am I imagining it or did he leave the show in the seventies because he was about to die? He doesn't look well but he clearly still breaths.

Also, no sign of David Coleman in the bit I saw. Is he still alive?

I recall him doing the Saturday morning sports round-up on Radio 4 up until the early '90's, when it was replaced by John Peel doing his Kids 'n' Kittens hour.

re: Cliff, he lives but... Could be worth a shout for next year.

I saw David Coleman. Didn't he have heart trouble a few years back?

It's a while since I've seen a picture of Cliff Morgan - this one at Henry Cooper's funeral. Maybe good for a a few more years possibly?

They're all looking pretty cheerful for a funeral.Did Henry include them in the will or something?

"A dramatic start. What a score!"Cliff's dead.
