Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 31, 2006 I think he'd have played for Liverpool, when they were the 'Spice Boys' back in the McManaman, Mcateer era. Looked the part but strangely ineffectual... Yes. That was a disappointing FA Cup final. All sitting in the pub (although in east Kent which is hardly a football hotspot) and Liverpool turn up in their white suits. What the heck was going on? And, to cap it all, Cantona scores by kicking the ball from the edge of the area at waist height so nobody can get to it. Dicky O would have won the match for us. Perhaps he is the Steve McManaman of British comedy. Or is that the Ronnie Whelan?
Brinsworth House Baiter 12 Posted January 31, 2006 I don't think Mr O'Sullivan is happy to recieve any letters either, I asked if I could write to him and I have had no response, since they asked who I wished to write to, it's a shame really, he is gaining more fans with the repeats on paramount 2 Just bombard him with fan mail....he'll need cheering up once he learns his thread has been closed. Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 31, 2006 For me it had to be Pooka's bordering on the pathological obsession with Tessa Wyatt... ah, heady days. Yes, what was that all about? It was one of those topics which seemed to appear out of nowhere, but yet fragrantly enlighten our existence.

Now that would be hilarious!
Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 31, 2006 Dicky would have looked sensational in one of those white suits! Agreed. I believe that is John Barnes nearest and Michael Thomas behind, with Stan Collymore on the left.
Lady Die 63 Posted January 31, 2006 I sense a rebellion brewing. Every time the mods close a "Why has Dickie O thread been closed" thread someone can just open another one.

Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 31, 2006 Dickie and Tess Wyatt did pose for a porno mag back in the 70s. I remember finding it under my parents' bed one timeI forget which porno it was, but I remember being excited seeing Tessa in the buff Now that has to be the greatest moment, because you can just imagine getting caught and trying to explain what you were doing. Ah, now this is interesting, because it is the very thing I was trying to comment on this morning when I found out the thread had been closed. I was going to point out that Phantom may have been confused, because back in the seventies everyone looked alike didn't they (same hair do's, medallion chains etc.)...especially when naked. It could just have easily been a compromising photo shoot of...say... John Craven & Lesley Judd... Yes, that is what was in my mind first thing this morning, I am so ashamed. Yet strangely aroused... Yes, that is what was in my mind first thing this morning, I am so ashamed. Yet strangely aroused... John Craven - that reminds me. Newsround was so much better in the 1970s with John Craven. Have you seen it recently? It's belittling to kids and is a completely warped version of the news.
