maryportfuncity 10,683 Posted June 5, 2006 Was well impressed with that machine on the news tonight allowing doctors at Papworth General to keep a heart beating outside the body before transplant. What got me thinking was the potential applications of such a device in a butchers shop. I mean, if we could circulate blood and electricity in those places we could find a future in which all debates about the freshness of meat were redundant. Imagine being greeted by trayload of twitching chicken thighs before looking to the ceiling to spot a squadron of sashaying slices of bacon. Do any of the more technically minded amongst you know if this is - like - ever likely to be possible?
