oh i hadn't even thought of that The Olympics would fall during the month after her 60th aniversary. Bloody hell 60 years! She is going to pass Victoria! I wounder if the celebrations would be mingled? If not it's going to be one big celebratory summer.

Was it really that much of a suprise? For goodness sake our presentation was leagues ahead of Frances' and the video presention was excellent. I doubt that chirac think those ill manered comments were going to help the French bid, odious unsophisticated man; he is full of bile. Still bitter and twisted i should expect from the EU meeting.

Good old Private Eye, had to laugh at the "still only 90 pence" it £1.30 now

I bet it has something to do with her romantic novelist of a mother who published just under 800 books, selling in the billions (all romantics that were pretty much the same). Raine must be worth a few bob or two with marrying aristorcrats and being a board member of Harrods, obviously enjoys the luxurious life-style that not only brings money but also a a title. One assumes she does anyrate from little i have read about her, i wounder if she has her mother's Thingwall House.

No idea, tricky person -can't find that much about her, only that her mother is Barbara Cartland.

True again, quite a left winger aren't you Hein? I think i would sooner keep it rather than get one of those systems where you have a president and a a prime minster ect ....ect - Then you fall into the problem of having a country that is top heavey with government. Such as Australia which is quite top heavey with government-though not a republic

It's a cheaper monarchy than some monarchies i can think of..................

Alexia Juliana Marcela Laurentien - Hein, i did think Juliana would be included somewhere in her name, but Alexia? I supose its a female version of her father's name but am i right in thinking that that one of Prince Bernhard's extramarital daughters is called Alexia?

Bloody hell!, They are an exact copy.... I thought the previous one looked a hell of lot like beatrix (i.e. the same forehead shape) but this new baby looks the spitting image!, As a baby that is. Yes, extreamly Disturbing

I see she has become a grandmother once again, the heir to the throne has had a second daughter; i wounder if it looks like a carbon copy of her grandmother, like its poor sister does Amila, or whatever the child's name is.

The Country's full name is (was) Malta George Cross, after Britian awarded the country the George Cross. It also had QEII as head of state for a time but it became a Republic within the realms of The British Common Wealth.

It was mainly Wincey Willis i was intrested in. Looking at photos of her, she really has aged.
