Great milestone for Favre, Harry. Sorry about the Brewers though. -

Thanks for your polite observation, Lord. The fact of the matter is that "boring" is a word that usually goes with either a lack of understanding or having no dog in the fight (excuse me Mr. Vick). Many Americans consider your football (our soccer) to be boring merely because they really don't understand the finer points of the game. The same can be said for many who find baseball boring. American football is a lot of fun to watch if you know what you're looking at and have a rooting interest. The New England Patriots would be a good start for a rooting interest. If that doesn't appeal to you, there's always your local bookie and the point spread. -

Hard time for them right there. Anyway moving on ... Michael Vick is expected 12 to 18 months in jail for letting dogs kill each other and an amazing story 'Kevin Everett' is not paralyzed after doctors assumed he would never walk again. What a story, it must be like winning the lottery for him. Don't waste too much of your sympathy for the Patriots, BS. Save it for the rest of the league. -
We're waiting for your prediction with bated breath, BS.

I guess after a few days I realized my demise was so boring that I couldn't just sit back and let it happen. I still mean practically everything I said, and even as I'm probably on borrowed time I'll make the best of it. Hello BS and welcome back. I, for one, would miss you if you went away.

OoO, not a stupid post at all. It still means that he gets out and about by himself and doesn't rely on someone to fetch the food for him. So even at 95 he's still active I agree with Phantom, Ock. This is the kind of information that's helpful to serious death pools players. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Happy Birthday MC and congratulations on making the big 3-0. -
Calvin Rampton has terminal cancer and recently suffered a series of strokes. Baba Amte is old and ill with leukemia. If you don't trust Wikipedia (a fair emotion) both of their illnesses can be confirmed by a google news search. Both were known to be ill before the CPDP (along with John Compton) and both I decided to ignore for some reason. Hello CP. Thanks very much for your thoughtful and (as always) excellent suggestions. Have you noticed that I'm breathing down your neck in the WDP? P.S. You're a Texan now?

I will weigh in on this harry. Whenever there's a story like this, lots of people maintain that they "know" what happened or they're "sure" of someone's guilt or innocence. The plain fact of the matter is that no one except the accused know whether they're guilty or innocent. There's nothing more tragic than losing a child so I hope that everyone gives the McCanns the benefit of the doubt until evidence suggests something concrete. The police should conduct their investigation and the McCanns should continue their efforts to find their daughter.

The Death League will soon have its All Star Break meeting at which we may replace a selection if we wish. Any hot ideas anyone? (I'm seeking suggestions relative to who may die soon and also to resurrect this moribund thread).

Happy Birthday Josco! -
If they're famous they should be in. If they're not they shouldn't. Simple. I don't even mind if they're famous for being old (like my pals Yone Minagawa and Emilio Mercado del Toro. Famous is famous.

Oh bollocks.. I forgot that. Looks like I drop out of the top 10 then. No. I think you and Antlers should be tied for 7th. Me and Eejit went ahead that's all.

Dying on the 13th makes her a six pointer and moves me up to 6th place.

Merv has passed on.

This is not a joke but I thought the best part of the last Tammy Faye Bakker interview was when Larry King asked her "Tammy Faye - Your funeral - Whaddaya want?".

What if he shakes it all about? Then he can do the hokey pokey and turn himself around.....

I, for one don't care if he's in or out. He committed the crime and I have no problem with him staying in jail and serving his sentence. If on the other hand, the British authorities decide they'd rather let him out because he's served enough time (in their estimation) and he's no longer a threat, I'm fine with that too. My only concern is the possibility that he'll die and score for me on my Death League team where I recently added him to the minor league roster.

What I'm saying is if Biggs remains in jail that might be the plan that benefits us rather then him going home. If he goes home that means freedom and big couches and big screen TV's and I believe once I heard Ronnie was with young Latina women (Or was it Brazilian women) so my point is if he was happened to be sent home that does not mean Ronnie isn't robbing the train. It seems to me that the major question with Ronnie (as well as Suharto and Kevorkian and Pinochet) is whether or not they're faking their illness to gain sympathy and freedom from prosecution/jail. I don't know enough about what kind of care Mr. Biggs would get out of jail but it seems that he's really sick and probably close to the end. But then again, what do I know?

Get your tone? I can't makes heads or tails out of what your saying let alone your tone.

Godot- What the hell does conscience have to do with any of this? You sound a bit like one of the ranters who think anyone involved in Death Pools is somehow unethical or immoral. You pick the people you think are going to die based on the rules of the particular pool. We (at least I) don't wish for them to die, we are just predicting it.

I saw the same clip, DDT. It certainly won't be long.
