I saw the same clip, DDT. It certainly won't be long.

All this "he's doing wonderfully" smacks of the usual PR stuff we've heard before. I think Luciano is going to be scoring soon (and I don't mean with his wife or mistress).

Have a great birthday, Windsor old chap! -
Beverly Sills is "gravely ill".

Brainy, that was wonderful. Thanks. By the way, Clemens is now 1-3 with a 5.32 ERA.

Hi Dave- Not that Tavares but it gave me a chuckle. The "Yankees Choke" thing on UTube brought back a lot of great memories. Thanks. Go Red Sox!

Something like a Hideo Nomo a couple years ago, but his K's are truly outstanding. Still he is no, Erik Bedard. He's better than Hideo Nomo. I've watched both of them. I don't think Julian Taverez could help much as a starter, he might be a better plan for long relief out of the bullpen. I've always believed offense in any sport is important, but let's face it talking baseball pitching wins games, and the bullpen is a key part of that. That's because you haven't really watched Tavares. After a rocky start he's been a very solid starter often beating the other team's #1's and #2's.

BS- A few points: * Clemens is actually doing us a favor by taking a lot of Steinbrenner's money. * Matsuzaka is on pace to win 20 games and he's just a rookie. He's getting better all the time. * Okajima has been a wonderful surprise. * The Yankees would love to have any of our starters, even our #5, Julian Tavares. * This season has been fun so far.

I'm rooting for his arm to fall off after throwing a pitch.

I agree but sometimes it actually seems like Piniella puts a show on deliberately. I thought Yankee reliever Kyle Farnsworth had every right to take a knock at Clemens on some radio interview, because if you are truly apart of a team I believe you should be at every game. Although how many pitchers are Roger Clemens and are still pitching gems at forty four? None. So Kyle should keep his mouth shut, he is only a minor reliever who is lucky to throw hard. Not a pitching legend. BS, you make no sense. You start out saying that Farnsworth has every right to knock Clemens and at the end you say he should keep his mouth shut. Which is it? Did you change your mind that quickly? By the way, Clemens lost again today. 10 1/2 out.

Lou Piniella's kind of fun to watch too.

I vote for teams with history and chemistry. Cock sucker. Go ahead probably a Boston Red Sox Fan right? Well have fun for the next 95 years because every time they make the playoffs there balls are getting busted. I only support Schilling for his outspoken comments. Hello BS, your prediction on the Yankees-Mets was as bad as your grammar and syntax. Clemens lost and is not a clean 2-0, but a mussed up 1-1. I don't know about 3 sheets but I am a Red Sox fan. You remember them, right? They're the team that made the Yankees the biggest chokers in baseball history. Losing after being up 3-0 in a best of seven. That's chemistry for you!

uh, I think you'll find that at the end of the war the Japanese still occupied large parts of China, and only surrendered when America nuked 'em. Meanwhile the Russians were steaming through the Japanese forces in Manchuria. So China won the war the same way as did the Italians. And the French. And the Belgians. I completely agree with your sentiment Ronnie except that the Italians were part of the Axis and they lost.

Nope.

In my league, we don't pick anyone under 18, but in a larger sense, morality doesn't really apply. As long as you don't kill the people yourself or do something to affect them, it has no meaning. Lots of people would say that anyone who bets, makes sport or competes on someone's demise is immoral. I think it's just an amusing past time that is fun and somewhat profitable. We shouldn't get too hung up on this. If you don't want to pick kids, don't. If you do, compete somewhere that allows it. Trying to apply morals to this is silly.

In our Death League, Boris was a seven time veteran but died a free agent. After he retired and we didn't hear much about him, we all lost interest. I had him ranked at #50 in this year's draft, a good prospect but not good enough to get on my team.

Charlotte Winters is no longer a former doughgirl.

So tell me, what did she do to upset you personally? Was she responsible for the death of your grandfather or something? Or are you just another one of those people scrambling for some sort of moral highground? No, not personally. But this woman was the most hated creature in the Netherlands. And rightly so. She NEVER distanced her from the Nazi ideolgy, she always denied the Holocaust ever happened and always had her brown shirt fans around her. The comunity of Rheden tried to block her funeral, affraid as they were this grave would become a schrine for Neo-nazis. They were unsuccessful in that attempt. They couldn't block it legally. The Israelis were a little more efficient after the execution of Adolf Eichmann. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered into the Mediterranean. Good point Whitehouse. I didn't understand your venom at first but now I do. Townie 1488, you're either an idiot or a Nazi or both. In any case you are beneath contempt.

The reason for these apparent multiple reports of Richard Jeni's demise is that someone decided to move the posts. Mine was originally posted under "the dead". While I appreciate the fact that I could have posted under "suicidal celebs", I didn't and would prefer that my posts remain where I put them unless there's some huge discrepancy. After all, Mr. Jeni is "dead".

Comedian Richard Jeni is dead, an apparent suicide.

I hope everything can get straightened out regarding the chat room. It's one of my favorite features. Hope to see all my pals there soon.

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2007
deadsox replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The man being interviewed is complaining about the fact that some men from the next town got his friend drunk and then pushed his face in the mud. sounds like a fair deal, i would have my face pushed in mud if you by me beer. What brand of beer and mud do you like? -

BS- None of us really knows. What makes you think I haven't thought about it in a realistic way? By the way, I never hope for anyone to die, just make predictions, and TF is as good a bet as anyone.
