  1. Shoot a deer, bear or turkey. By the way, I got 16 on the Death quiz.

    Captain Beefheart

He's hard to categorize but I'd say Blues is the closest.

    World War I Veteran(s)

From research I've been doing for a veterans war memorial project I'm involved with, I have seen numbers from two to eight on this subject. I was not specificly searchig for that type of information at this time and can not actually confirm it for you, but I do recall seeing it somewhere. Just keep trying in any keyword venue you can think of. Good Luck! Praise The Vets!!!!! There are currently nine American WW I vets still living. They are Lloyd Brown, Frank Buckles, Russell Coffey, Samuel Goldberg, Emiliano Mercado del Toro, Antonio Pierro, Howard Ramsey, Albert Wagner and Charlotte Winter. Three expired within the last few months (Ernest Pusey, Moses Hardy and Russell Buchanan). They range in age from 106 to 115. I know of at least one Brit, Henry Allingham.

Say it loud! I'm dead and I'm proud! Thank you from the hardest working man in the cemetary! [shouting (and font) reduced -- MH]

    John F. Kennedy

I wonder if getting shot adds to or takes away from JFK's legacy. Probably not as good a career move as it's turned out to be for Tupac. Getting shot definitely helps. It blunts a lot of legitimate (and illegitimate) criticism. JFK is almost certainly better regarded than he would have been had he lived to the age of his brother Teddy.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Regarding KC's Secret Santa Larry Stewart's chances of a UK obit, I think his story is such a good and timely one that he will become a real celebrity in the next few weeks and the Christmas season will make him someone who's obit will cross the Atlantic.

    Saddam Hussein

Can't they just try him after he is dead? Doesn't make much difference... He'd be a lot less trouble. Just have a taxidermied Saddam sitting in his chair.

    Saddam Hussein

Janury or February are good bets. I doubt if it would happen in 2006.

    DeathList "Dead" Chat!

I couldn't get into chat for a while, but I was just in a place called the chat lobby or some such thing. Is this working again?

Windsor- Surely you of all people know about Queen Elizabeth, illegitimate daughter of Henry VIII?

    Claude Levi-Strauss

I appreciate your input, guest, as Mr. Levi-Strauss is on my team. I would point out, however, that being "the greatest alive thinker of his generation" is not really high praise since there's only about half a dozen of them left.

    Why Are We Here?

Would you say that about Mike Tyson or a Munchkin? There is much more to a person than a brain. While the physique is certainly important, all our thoughts, dreams, personality and what makes us unique rests in our minds. Without a doubt, a woman's beauty or an athlete's skill go a long way into forming their personalities, but it still isn't who they are. The brain is really it, Godot.

    Why Are We Here?

The bottom line is that the brain is who we are. All else is just parts. Now if you'd like to discuss the soul, that's a different ballgame altogether and one with a lot less data to go on.

He just got out of the hospital but I don't think he'll last long. Just until the next teardrop falls.

Tammy Faye just updated her web site. She doesn't sound great but it's not as dire as I had thought.

To quote George Burns again, "People criticize me for going out with younger women, but if I try to date women my age, I can't get them out of the nursing home".

I feel the same way about your President's clownish actions. Unfortunately his foreign policy seems to have contaminated ours. We're trying to cut out the source of that infection, a nasty little organism called Blair. Though it's proving very resilient. Patience, Tempus old boy. They'll both be gone soon and we can elect two different ones. There's even the possibility of getting someone good!

Instead of the deer and bears couldn't you instead shoot the mammals who currently make up your political administration. A far more challenging and useful hobby. None of them have come by and the Democrats are even worse anyway. Well you could always give a monarchy a try, we've got plenty of spare ones you could have cheap. Thanks TF but our papparazzi are already too busy with Michael Jackson, Brangelina, etc. We'd have to add about four or five new tabloids if we had a monarchy. If you had a monarchy you wouldn't need the likes of Jackson and Brangelina (?). A monarchy gives a nation gravitas and an enduring legacy. You could have Prince Harry, OK he's a ginger with a penchant for Nazi uniforms, but think of the entertainment value he offers. Just give him a palace and a nice income and he'll do whatever you require, cheaper than a Presidency and no bothersome elections. Monarchy, you know it makes sense. We can enjoy yours from afar, and I like elections. We can get rid of bozos and even if we keep electing them they can't stay more than eight years.

Don't you just love a fair trial? Then again, thats American justice for you. W- This is not American justice, it's Iraqi justice. Our system gives solid rights to accused wrong doers. Although I agree that Saddam will not get a fair trial, I don't think he deserves one either. Another consideration is that you Brits are involved in this fiasco also.

I must confess. I sometimes sit in trees for hours and shoot deer or bears that pass by.
