I preferred him when he was in Take That. Now he's loving angels instead. R.I.P Rob. I would have been less surprised if it had been Robbie or even Rowan for that matter. I was watching this a couple of weeks ago (can't find it on youtube now) and I did wonder if Robin would make it to 70 but I was thinking more along the lines of heart attack. I really didn't expect to wake up to news that he'd killed himself. I've just been reading up on Pam Dawber, she's lost a few colleagues quite young. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0437856/ Apart from RW, the thing that cracked me up on Mork and Mindy was the family called the Wankers in a couple of episodes - Annie and Arnie w***er if memory serves. I almost pissed myself - but apparently it's a surname lost on most Americans. What a bunch of wankers:)

I believe you are correct - it was Mr Takagi of the Nakatomi Corporation. Another US film where the baddies are played by English actors.

Mr Nakatomi...

Net surfing while watching Last of the Summer Wine this morning to discover that Jean Alexander is in a bad way (and according to the Mirror is Jesus' sister in her ability to resurrect). Therefore due to the quirkiness of the universe I would have to go for Peter Sallis. If she makes it, I'll add Jean to next year's list

I loved the Young Ones as a teen... A few years later I was amazed to see him as an extra in a couple of old but great films - An American Werewolf in London and the war movie The Eye of the Needle. It looks as if he tried to make a start in serious roles but thankfully for us took the comedy route instead. Farewell Rik, Alan B'start and Adonis C'nut (you 'orrible spelling mistake). First Harold Ramis, and Now Rik Mayall... what a shit year for comedy.

He probably died watching Cuban Fury.....

If she's going to be cremated then Fire, Wind and Earth may be a more logical order
-
Well I guess his passing should be in the thread Hollywood Definites as opposed to Hollywood Possibilities... However it was a shock to hear of his passing - he was a great actor - especially in the Long Good Friday.... " 'ave you seen any of my Eric flying past your window..." I guess he just had his last orders. Vale Bob!

Author Alistair MacLeod has snuffed it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alistair_MacLeod). And as it happened in 2014 I'm posting it HERE... if there is some author thread anywhere then I don't give a shit... just a heads up there

Fuck he was only inducted into the hall of fame a few days ago!! Dies the next day after an appearance on raw? Suicide maybe ? Apparently reporting that his heart just gave out... must be all the 'roids.

Kirk Douglas for me.

It was quite a lame show this year even though it drew massive ratings. The remembrance wall seemed quite long this year and a bit pissed off that gave the druggy Phil Hoffman the prime final spot. Why do people glorify fuckwits that stick needles in their arms? Anyhooo... do we have a thread for overdose deaths? I couldn't find one through the search engine.
-
Yeah... but she's already on my list for this year.
-
Watching the Oscars... Sidney Poitier is looking quite frail - didn't realise he was 87 and may be a good contender for next year's DL.
-
He also played the role of Archangel Derek in Dead Earnest He was also great in the 70's sitcom The Squirrels.

I say "don't kill all the idiots, just remove all warning signs and let nature take care of the rest"
-
Very munted logic... Just posting a notice on THE DEAD OF 2014 that I secured a second success for the year to get hassled by some anally-retentive twat... Let the flame wars begin

So you expect us to read every effing forum??? Get a life!

Shirley Temple just sank on the good ship lollypop!

Perhaps PSH took method acting to a new level?

Eric Lawson, best known as the Marlboro Man has snuffed it of - you guessed it - of chronic lung disease at the age of 72. I wonder if his cremation will include a government health warning?

There really are some knobs out there. However having some strange calling to the 50s is nothing to the loon who celebrates Christmas everyday (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1088872/Man-celebrates-Christmas-day-scaling-celebrations-credit-crunch.html). Perhaps we should just have a looney thread
