If it's the former, I would say he's still a member of a royal house. If it's the latter, I'd say we'd better review King Michael's place on the Deathlist. And women. Fair point. I've never been a fan but what little I've come across does seem light on gender balance. Must be Tolkein's christian outlook. LOTR (and The Hobbit) are extraordinarily lacking in female characters. There is really only Eowyn and Galadriel, and they don't feature all that much. Arwen is mentioned, but her part was massively increased for the film - she scarcely appears in the books. There are a few female hobbits mentioned on the fringes, but no female dwarfs (although T does acknowledge that they exist). Even the Ents, the tree people, are all male, their wives having all decamped somewhere years ago! It's odd because Tolkien had a long happy marriage, and he did have a daughter, so it isn't as though he was some fusty misogynistic old bachelor who never had any contact with women. I'd say he drew more on Norse mythology than on Christianity, and there are plenty of goddesses there. Nah, end of the day it's all about good vs evil. Christianity is inherently patriarchal. the Norse valued bravery and valour irrespective of who had it.

You could always look. There's plenty of sites out there on which to do your research. In all honesty, I don't even look at porn on my computer. Don't want it getting full of viruses and nasty malware which these sites are full of. TBF, its better to watch porn and get a virus on your computer than to go out, get you leg over then end up with a nasty virus................. True that! But to fill your computer with porn and go on porn sites on a regular basis, does your average laptop as much good as smoking 40 a day does to a human. I smoked 20 + a day for 30 yrs, I gave up 2 1/2 yrs ago and ive felt more shit than when I smoked! As my old mum used to say, you'll be fine as long as you wipe it clean afterwards.
