Cricket Thread. Only Mad Dogs And Englishmen
Pistol Knight replied to The Four Horsemen's topic in DeathList Forum
I see John Manners, the oldest living first class cricketer is 102 not out. He failed to walk back to the pavilion for me during Maryports Dead Pool last Winter. Hopefully he will declare this time around. -
Cleggy to pop his clogs this time. This vintage Summer Wine has to be corked in time for 2017. Peter Sallis got my vote

Zsa Zsa has putting things off too long. However, I feel she has more to offer, and fancy Kirk Douglas to finally hit the cutting room floor.

And Murrays style of movement still lives on through "Radioheads" animated movie set to "Don't Burn the Witch". A clear adaption of the Wicker Man film, it is a little more imposing compared to watching Mrs Honeyman and Windy Miller. One wonders what Murray thought of Radioheads use of his technique.

A great list YoungWillz. It demonstrates what a versatile actor Kwouk was during his career. Kato to Yamauchi and all points in between. Often seen but rarely recognised for his undoubted talent.

And the great Suger Ray Robinson suffered a TKO on this day April 12th 1989. An amazing career of 200 professional bouts including 173 victories. -
Love Dennis. He calls a spade a spade, and speaks from the heart. Now if only other Lemmings of MP's had the balls to stand up and be counted rather than hide behind their whips to tow the line. Speak for what you believe. Now that's what separates the Skinners from some of the clowns currently sitting in the hours of commons.

Peter Sallis for me. Saw him last year in a meet and greet session, and he looked pretty frail then.

I note that Peter Alliss celebrated his 85th birthday today....You have to wonder when he will be "under par" and be leader in the clubhouse......Mmm "a final round with Alliss" there might be a revival of his television series in the offering with that title. -

It's hard to believe that in between all those reruns going on to this present day, the series M.A.S.H aired it's final episode today thirty-three years ago. -
Father Jack...what a comedy character created by Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan. Frank Kelly played the role brilliantly as did the other cast members in their roles to make Father Ted a real cult classic. Feck...Arse...Girls....drink!.....all catchphrases used by Kelly are still used in their context today by many of those who watched the series, all testaments to great acting and scripts produced for the series. Kelly's passing, but perhaps with him the character he played so well Father Jack will be missed by so many.

Just found out why I have been unable to get comfortable in bed, and have a good nights sleep for the past few weeks. My memory foam mattress is suffering from dementia.

And February 1st 1851 saw Frankenstein author Mary Shelley pass away. Some say she was brought back to life in 1901 in the form of Barbara Cartland. Now that was one lady more frightening than Boris Karloffs monster -

Which One Of Thatcher`s Vegetables Will Go Next?
Pistol Knight replied to Sean's topic in DeathList Forum
I've plumped for Michael Heseltine or "close a mine" as I knew him. It was an apt nickname for him after announcing that over 30 pits were tor close in a modernisation plan in the early 1990's. As a lorry driver, I was escorted to the front of his home Thenford House in Northamptonshire by his butler driving a Range Rover in wellingtons, to deliver two statues of herons for his ornamental lake. This was just after his heart problem around 1997, and he greeted me at the front of the house wearing a sweatshirt bearing the font "part time gardener". Wonder if he still has the energy to knock up a little border at the front of the mansion, say six foot deep. Another modernisation plan I know, but it would cut out the middle man -
Denis Norden for me. If he passes, and keeping in lines with his "It will be alright on the night series", will he be termed as an outtake?
