Sad news. Seems he was a kind person, who has founded dozens of schools and universities and has published over 100 books. Throughout his life he has fought against slavery, war and violence around the world, and has been renowned for decades for his peaceful pursuits. In the 60's, he worked heavily with Martin Luther King on issues regarding the Vietnam war. RIP, with 95 years he reached a good age.

In his career, he served as President of the Bernoulli Society of the Royal Statistical Society, and of the International Statistical Institute and was knighted by the Queen in 1985.
