OK sorry if its been posted before (I did search!). I've just seen this Tiktok come up with Randy Jackson (him from American Idol). https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMFPuUCD8/ He did have gastric bypass a few years ago and has type 2 diabetes. But he looks like there more issues than that and struggling to walk with a cane and support. Looks a cert for 2023!

She doesn't want to be seen in a wheelchair as it is an invasion of privacy. Sounds like vanity to me. I would rather see her knocking people over in a motorised wheelchair, but know that she is OK. The 'hiding' aspect leads to too much speculation. Everyone knows she's in her late 90's and no-one would begrudge her the use of a wheelchair for comfort, while she continues her job. Bearing in mind, other monarchs have abdicated and retired.

If we are celebrating her, then she is going to have to show her face at some point. But at something where the amount of walking will be at a minimum (from a very close by car to a chair and vice versa).

I agree. Not only do there seem to be more royal news stories, they seem to be taking precedent over any Corona, Boris or even Prince Andrew stories. Is it a preparation for the Queen's (rapid or slow) decline, or a media blast to distract talks of a certain someone's impending court date which could distract from the jubilee?

I think it's interesting that Queenie has gone out of her way to mention that she endorses Camilla to be Queen, when it might have been easier at the time of Charles' coronation to say it was a de facto thing. Or at the very least, leave all of this drama to them after she's gone. It's also interestingly timed a few hours after she said, "I'll just stick the knife in..."

Interesting to note how the TV stations handle it. Bbc 1 and 2 have cut to BBC news (although obviously in that time where they can't get hold of their 'paid experts' yet, as they keep speaking to some unknown Royal reporter for a newspaper). ITV cut to ITV news. Channel 4 still showing Couples Come Dine with Me! Channel 5 has gone for a programme about his life with a large black banner across the top of the screen announcing his death.

BBC woman all in black (obv. had time to sort that) and was almost in tears. Not shocking, but as time went on, it felt like it would never happen!

Either that guy is a Billy Bullshitter or he made a few interesting points. Philip requested to speak to Charles. Even though Charles was/is due back in London on Monday. Philip is very ill. Is this bloke allowed to be less reserved than the UK press? And does he have genuine sources? If Charles is due back in London tomorrow, will he visit again? Also, I feel bad that the news keeps reminding people that he will be 100 in June. At this rate he won't make it til June and mentioning it seems harsh.

I doubt they will give a further update today as it is a Sunday. But they will have to say something tomorrow and they know that they are going to be asked about why Charles went and travelled so far in a national lockdown.
