People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Dona Celeste Arrantes, Pele’s Mother is still alive, she turned 96 last November, wonder if she will outlive her son as don’t think Pele is in greatest of health.

    The 3rd death of 2021

Prince Phillip until he goes though he will make it to 100 in June now so probably won’t be him but still sticking with him.

    Betty Boothroyd

Wouldn’t surprise me if she was Lesbian not that it matters but I thought Dame Patricia Routledge was going out with Pam St. Clement aka Pat Butcher or Moira Stewart.

    Prince Philip until he goes.

    Captain Tom Moore

Even if by some miracle he survives this and returns home shortly he is going to be weakened by this as after all he is 100, will be surprised if he makes it to his Birthday in April and amazed if he makes it into next year, just a matter of time. Although i wish him well and hope he recovers, the coverage over Sir Tom Moore's exploits have gone well over the top, a Knighthood for essentially walking up and down your Garden with a walker and all the other accolades, he personally didn't donate a penny to the NHS it was the public who sent the money in. It did get to the stage when he was never off the TV, crazy really, their are people who have done a hell of a lot more for this country during the pandemic than Tom Moore did but don't get the recognition because they are not old and not a media darling like Tom Moore is.

    Larry King

A true broadcasting great, a full life well lived, surprised he lived so long considering his poor health he just seemed to go on forever, a sad loss, RIP.

    Prince Phillip

    Ideas and possibilities 2022

Pains me to say this as a Manchester United fan but Sir Alex Ferguson will of just turned 80 at the beginning of 2022, survived Brain aneurysm in 2018 and looks to have aged significantly to me recently, plus don’t see him seeing his mid to late 80’s. 2022 might be too early but do think he will go sometime in next 5 years, too big a name to miss.

Julie Goodyear - Coronation Street legend

I remember that, didn’t he stalk her beforehand if true could explain it though why you would get together with someone like that is a mystery and very strange though I might be getting mixed up there with the stalking side of things. Goodyear didn’t come across well at all in that Interview came across as a bully and a throughly nasty piece of work.

    Barbara Windsor

Really sad news a true legend brilliant as Peggy in EastEnders and the carry on’s she certainly lived life to the full what with her associations with the Krays etc, I thought she would last a bit longer. RIP.

Who Should Make The Deathlist In 2021?

Mark lawrenson Skin Cancer survivor looks rough for 63, his eye on Football Focus looks awful apparently a burst blood vessel but get the impression he isn’t in the best of health and don’t see him living to a great age.

    Diego Maradona

Wow just heard the news, didn’t expect him to go yet but at the same time I didn’t expect him to reach really old age, I think I said at the last World Cup when he was as high as kite he wouldn’t see the next World Cup so I suppose I was right, the way he lived his life with the excess drug lifestyle it was always going to come and obviously it has effected his health he has been a mess for years with his yo-yo weight, his heart scares and recently his brain aneurysm In reality it’s a miracle he lasted this long. It’s a shock in one way as not expecting it yet but in reality not a shock as I suppose it has been on the cards for years like George Best was (15 years to the day) and Paul Gascoigne right now. I was expecting Pele to go first as I think he is getting close to the end but I suppose Maradona’s lifestyle has contributed to his demise. As for a footballer probably the most gifted player of all time what he achieved in single handedly winning the World Cup in 1986, with the solo goal against England as well as the hand of God goal (I suppose with Maradona’s nature he had to have something like that associated with his name), his record at Napoli helping them win the UEFA Cup as well as winning a couple of Serie A titles when Italian football was the top league in the world helped a povincial club make it to the big time. Up there and arguably the greatest footballer of all time with Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Cruyff, Best and Di Stefano to name but a few RIP.

    FIFA World Cup Players

Just got the news on the sky app, really surprised knew he was ill with Cancer a few years ago but thought he had beaten it obviously not sadly, easily one of the best goalkeepers of his generation and has secured his place as one of the great goalkeepers of all time. Won 3 European Cups with Liverpool alongside various Leagues and Cups and Won UEFA Cup with Spurs as well as playing over 1,000 career games is some record. As a United fan I’m not overly keen on a lot of ex Liverpool players(Dalglish, Souness etc) of that era as they come across as so arrogant and Liverpool can do no wrong (though I suppose same could be said about United players from our successful era)even if I admire and respect there records but Ray Clemence along with Keegan were one’s I liked as they came across as genuinely nice down to earth people I wasn’t expecting the news as I’m sure a lot weren’t RIP Ray sad loss.

Better person than me I would happily spit on his grave if I was him.

    The 17th death of 2020

Will go with Sutcliffe hopefully a painful death too.
  24. Agreed just go on who has the most votes someone like Trump would still moan if he lost and go on about fraud but it would stop the farce that has gone on this week, don’t know if there has been fraud or not, probably not to the extent that Trump is claiming but some states seem to be counting very slowly knowing how many electoral votes there states have and who needs them to get in office and enjoying their day in the sun and taking longer than necessary scrap it and you won’t have that. Also making out some states are more important than others creates a divide straight away if you just have it on who has most votes wins takes that away . Takes way too long to decide who gets in I know it is harder and will take longer in USA than UK due to size and population difference but in UK we know by next morning who are is in or out not 5 days later.
  25. There is a programme on Amazon Prime about Trump and his business dealings in the 80’s and early 90’s called Trump: What’s the deal? It is amazing what he got up to and got away with and how much of a dodgy business man he really is.
