Prince Phillip surely can’t have long left now.

Really sad news a true legend listening to formula one commentary has never been the same since he retired. Some of his one liners had me in stitches like “There is Nothing wrong with that car except it’s on Fire.” and Murray Walker“There’s a body on the track” James Hunt”Umm I think that is a piece of body work of someone’s car on the track.” Genius. Murray got so excited by Formula one as he loved it so much but he actually really knew his stuff and had been around Motor racing forever. I was hoping he would make it to his 100 Birthday but it wasn’t to be. A true one off the likes we will never see again. RIP.

You don't know that. It depends what it's for.
Philip had a minor heart procedure and had an infection. Smith could have just had major brain surgery for all we know.
Edit: Me and @drol are clearly telepathically linked.True when you put it like that was just thinking about the age difference between the two not considering probable different operations they have had, stupid thing to say on my part. I hope he recovers though always liked and respected Walter.

Almost a week after surgery so unlikely to be in immediate danger right now which is good news, lot younger than someone like Prince Phillip so more likely to recover and leave Hospital.

We were told at the time that he'd be staying there for "a number of days". I suppose you could describe the period he's been in for as a number of days, but I'd have thought we'd have received another update in the mean time, even if it was just saying that he is slowly recovering and expects to leave in a couple of weeks.
You would to be fair, if he isn’t out by the end of next week I think it’s getting to the stage were it is looking unlikely he will leave Hospital alive. The longer he is in more likely he will leave in a box.

Same with Kanye West and his thread.
To be fair that can be said about the whole of the Royal family time to scrap the lot of them- 1

Yeah I would say Pele is more likely to go before Zagallo, Pele doesn’t look in great shape to me think he will be brown bread within the next 2 or 3 years

Sad news a true legend brilliant player and pundit, would of thought Greavsie would of been the first to go out of the famous Duo as I thought St. John was getting better but I suppose when you have cancer you never know. RIP.

Don’t know Ken Barlow aka Bill Roache seems to be the exception to the rule is almost 89 and has said ‘he is getting younger, that the body is designed to go on forever and that he wants to still be in Coronation Street when he is 100.’
Also surely Julie Goodyear aka Bet Lynch can’t have long left she looks terrible almost 80 and smokes upwards of 100 cigarettes a day, a ticking time bomb.

Just now, msc said:Although tbf, Philip going from "precaution" to "an infection" to transferring to the nearest cardiac specialists is an actual update after 20 odd pages.
You never know in another 20 pages he might of actually of snuffed it.

More than likely Phillip and the way they are covering it all up pretty obvious he is going home to die as usually when he is discharged they make a big song and dance of him walking out even when he looked like they had dug him up a couple of Christmases ago.

Yeah I remember him collapsing after a game at West Ham back in 2003, I suppose he has done well to live with the condition for almost 2 decades.

Definitely iller than they are letting on especially as there are no updates if he was getting better surely they would let us know, he has been in Hospital a week now like you said the longer he is in the less likely he is to come out, he is certainly getting closer to meeting the grim reaper.

4 minutes ago, odeon said:he's older than his father ever was, has had multiple hospitalisations, lost a child and legendary soccer players seem to drop like flies. A good one for within the next 3 years i'd reckon
His mother is still alive at 96. Who knows Pele might follow in her footsteps, I doubt it as I don’t think he is in the greatest health but you never know.

Depends just how ill he really is, if he is as bad as is made out in that report it could be days or weeks at the most but I bet his Doctors etc will do everything they can to see him reach his 100th Birthday.

Next 48 hours will be crucial it will either fizzle out into nothing again which will probably happen as he is discharged from Hospital, however if he stays in obvious he is iller than they are letting on and he could be near the end, don’t think much more will happen today.

11 minutes ago, ECG said:What is the latest? I've just finished work and the last I saw was the vehicle waiting outside the hospital.
The vehicle has left the Hospital but no obvious reason as to why it was there could of been sneaking another member of family into see him or dropping of clothes etc though doesn’t take several hours to do that but know one knows for sure. Phillip still in Hospital.

Probably right for ‘normal’ patients and it is sounding like the end is near but if they make exceptions for anyone it will be for the Royals so it is possible we are all reading too much into it. I think if he isn’t discharged from Hospital by Monday or Tuesday he is certainly a lot iller than they are letting on even if he lasts that long the next 48 to 72 hours could be crucial.
As for Charles visit been short if Phillip is close to the end is possible he is sleeping a lot or dosing in and out of consciousness could be quite distressing and upsetting and there isn’t really a lot you can do understandable if Charles doesn’t stay long .
Knowing Phillip he will be out of Hospital soon and celebrating his 100th birthday in 110 days time though he is getting closer to the end, be amazed if he is still here at the beginning of 2022.

Prince Philip until he goes though I think he will survive this Hospital admission, will see his 100th.
-
Prince Phillip again, didn’t even realise we had another death until about 2 seconds ago.
-
Dona Celeste Arrantes, Pele’s Mother is still alive, she turned 96 last November, wonder if she will outlive her son as don’t think Pele is in greatest of health.

Prince Phillip until he goes though he will make it to 100 in June now so probably won’t be him but still sticking with him.
