Norman Lloyd is in great shape but at 102 he could easily go next year.Liz Dawn I think is a must have for next year. Still think Leah Bracknell needs to be on next years list and Tony Booth. Tony Booth for sure but Leahs situation sadly sounds quite dire and tragic and I fear she may go before 2017 Another name that springs to mind is Ryan O'Neal. Other names to throw into the discussion - Norman Tebbit, Sumner Redstone, Michael Caine, Joan Plowright, Gerald Kaufman (Labour MP) Silvio berculusoni -former Italian pm but I'm sure I've spelt his name wrong! Jacques Chirac, Nicholas F Brady US Secretary of the Treasury under Reagan and Bush senior, Robert Wagner, Anne Douglas (actress Wife of Kirk Douglas) and Winnie Mandela Just to help jump start some discussion!

Melvin Laird dies, go homewards tae think again. Goodness me that was "surreal" timing! OK I replace Melvin with Ramsey Clark who was the Attorney General under US President Lyndon B Johnson and a prominent US lawyer In the event that anybody else dies on my list before 2017 I'm putting prominent New York gossip columnist Cindy Adams as a sub.

To be honest I think the rumours about Hillary are overblown and politically motivated but worth a punt I guess. Bill you may have a point about but not Hillary imo. I suspect next year will be a sad one for the Bush clan however. Walter Mondale a democratic presidential contender from 1984 is getting on too. Worth considering.

In terms of discussing possibilities for this list as the opening post indicated we could do -I'm surprised the name of centenarian actor Norman Lloyd isn't mentioned more often. I think he's a real contender so to speak. Certainly the long time ill Corrie actress Liz Dawn is also.

SC There's absolutely no need to make a point of being so inflammatory and rude. It was a civil polite question asked in a reasonable manner. Especially given as a few other other pool threads have indicted their accepting entries it wasn't a wild thought or idea to try and find out which other OP's are doing the same and which aren't.

I'm probably going to end up sending you 4 or 5 team's of lists of 20 Shaun-hope that's OK!? Probably will annoy you! 😁 I was going to send in two teams this year but as you've reduced list size I will enter more than twice if permitted!

She's always insisted that she had been born in 1924, but her biographer cited the earlier year (substantiated by official census records), according to the famously reliable Wikipedia. As you can imagine, the income prospects of a 26-38 year old active actress might have been (and might still be) considerably worse than those of a 24-36 year old, cause that's how Hollywood works. Her first starring role came a little later than what would've been ideal, so she had the incentive to lie about her age. Not as if it'd matter that much anymore. She has retired from acting a long time ago, she is quite old now either way (regardless of whether she lied about her age), but you wouldn't get up-to-date info on her health from the press. Still, she would be an acceptable candidate for a theme team. Awe I've always thought of Doris Day as quite untainted and morally clean living and pure! I don't like to think of her lying about something like this and persisting with it!

I hope not!! Don't get me wrong I loathe the guy and his rabble rousing antics but his vice president Mike Pence would be much worse, more ideological and extreme especially on minority rights, gay marriage, supreme Court nominations and a woman's right to choose. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Pences near air accident a few week's ago wasn't an assassination attempt not that we will ever know! Trumps rhetoric on say appointing an anti gay marriage right supreme justice during the campaign is not something I think he will follow through on but Pence would-read up on him. Chilling.

Sorry to nitpick but Doris Day was born 1924 not 1922 as she celebrated her 90th birthday in 2014.
