The sad thing about 1) living on a dead-end road and 2) not being home for most holidays and 3) having my own daughter to take trick or treating, is that I don't get to pass out candy, as no kids come around anyway. When I lived near the non Detroit side of 8 Mile (lol) we had plenty of kids come around, I miss that. I still decorate my house for holidays, but then I leave for a month and when I get home my house looks ridiculous. Imagine a 2' skeleton and spooky wreath outside my door and it's almost Thanksgiving, or beyond. SC

He was a pretty high ranking official, I'm not certain but I think 3rd highest in country (similar to our Secretary of State here in the States), coupled with the tabloid discovery and admission of having an out of wedlock son 30 years earlier now that he was 84, and then marries the mother at 85 or so. Caught on tape in sex scandals as well. Amazing lack on interest in the international community. SC

Happy Halloween to all. It really IS one of my favourite holidays, maybe second to Christmas. This marks the first time ever I will not be able to take my daughter out trick or treating, as I am stuck on a job 250 miles away. And the poor kids where I am (Henderson TX) are going to get hit with 3+ inches of rain starting about 4pm so forget trick or treating this year. I hope it holds off back in Lafayette, LA. SC
