One of the oldest living relatives of the founder of Tigard (OR) had passed away. Curtis Tigard was born in 1909 and lived to the age of 109. Tigard was a World War II veteran and graduate of Oregon Agricultural College, now known as Oregon State University. Tigard was known as East Butte until the late 1800s, when renamed Tigardville after the postmaster, who was also Curtis’s dad. The name was later shortened to Tigard so the railroad wouldn’t confuse it with Wilsonville. SC

Hey if this is a POLL move it outta here, this is exclusively DEAD POOLS. If it’s a DP then once a name is chosen they’re off the board. Admins this appears to be to be misplaced.

I voted Lois Smith cuz I’ve no fucking idea who she is, and shouldn’t I, given the thread’s title? No matter, any time you ask a poll like this it’s got to be a female who wins, they live longer, math is on my side. Lois, whoever the fuck you are, do me proud, toots! SC (edit— and right off there’s a secondary vote for Smith. Fuck off wanker)

Along with Tony Sparano, that’s TWO ex Raider/49ers combo in a few days! Ok now, this is the second Raider/49er to die in a few days. I can’t think of many but Matt Miller must be shaking in his fekkin boots. SC -

Sent me scrambling to look up ‘erstwhile’ I have to sadly admit, wasn’t aware the Oxford Professor of Fine Arts took part in our forums. SC (ok looked it up, and for not simply saying ‘former’, let me now change my post to read ‘save the pompous stuffy bullshit for letters you write to your PM’ ffs). And how can you be someone’s FORMER father? So this is one of those ‘if you’re not really sure what a word means don’t use it’ scenarios. Professor of Fine Arts my arse, ya tosser.

‘No other information on his cause of death was immediately available.’ I hate that cowardly shit. Whether it’s the family or the reporter, he was 28 and if he was sick they’d have fucking said so. Thus, he either topped himself or OD’d, call it what is is you fucking cowards.

Thread Description Restoration Project
Sir Creep replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Yup some of those are correct, but are so bad they shouldn’t be resurrected. ‘A good walk spoiled’ Not funny not anything, and when you have the infamous Dangerfield line about ‘what are the two greatest wastes of real estate: golf courses and cemeteries”, maybe something like ‘one of the greatest wastes of real estate’ or summat at least has context. I prefer it be left blank than ‘a good walk spoiled’ frankly. I created a thread that that had a piss poor subtitle that has been left off and I’m happy to see it that way. So I’m consistent, if nothing else. SC -
Took my 7-yr old budding astonomer to this free local event. Got to see Saturn Jupiter/4 moons and Venus through some proper telescopes. Cool event for everyone, kids especially. SC
