At what point does someone deserve their own thread?
Sir Creep replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Those are all valid threads. Big recognizable names on both sides of The Pond (and yes that Fn matters), and an illness. If those are the threads you've created I hope you create more in the future. You 'get it', others don't. SC -
Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
Sir Creep replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well ok, if you want actual discussion and discourse on this matter, I'm happy to oblige. If I am walking into The Pit of Idealogues, my bad, lesson learned. So there is a difference, though perhaps on the most superficial of surfaces not. In the case of the bakery, the bakery (and to get through these mental gymnastics, you must--as the SCOTUS decided--allow the corporation to take on human attributes, like 'having a religion') refused to provide a service to a potential customer on religious grounds. Yes we know what's going on here, but that is the manner in which the action was protected by law. Don't argue with me, argue with the SCOTUS. In the case of the restaurant, no such protection can be afforded the corporate person who is refusing service on 'I don't agree with your politics' grounds. This is akin to blacks and lunch counters in the 1950s. Frankly she could be in a lot of trouble, imho. So --- it's not hypocrisy. They are distinct legal events and analysis. SirC -
I feel ya. I've had to keep 'recent' thanks to the Cup, but that's a totally different set of names than one would amass for DDP etc that require stricter obits. I have only come across 2 or 3 'secret' names lol (as if) in the past 4 months. SC

Frail Phil Collins has been rushed to hospital after suffering a dramatic fall in a hotel - forcing him to cancel London shows. According to a message posted on the singer's official Facebook page, the 66-year-old tripped and fell and badly gashed his head following his concert on Sunday night, after a more than ten-year break from touring. OK, Daily Mail....are we intentionally shedding Phil in the worst of lights? That can't possibly be a 66-year old in this photo. 2019 here we come! How long until there's No Reply At All? SC

Who the hell is Boris Johnson. I can safely say no one important is named Boris in my lifetime (which began 1963 for those keeping score at home). Boris the Spider perhaps.

Solange is beyond the trite realm her sister plays in. But yes it was/is easy to assume they have similar musical goals and audience. -

I think we could have the unwritten rule if the owner of said deceased person is so disinterested as to not inform someone that they have died within 30 days, points are voided. It's not your job to babysit Chorizo's team imho. SC

I'm just glad someone else is mocking the recent thread making. Here here, Deathray. Maybe they can merge this with my Michael Phelps thread made for the same reason, though all the chlorine he has exposed himself to makes him a dead cert for 2019. SC

Rick Harrison's Gold & Silver Pawn 43 mins · It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Richard Benjamin Harrison (known as ‘The Old Man’ to Pawn Stars fans the world over) this morning. He was surrounded by loving family this past weekend and went peacefully. The team at Gold & Silver Pawn and the Pawn Stars family is grieving his loss. He will be remembered as the best father, grandfather and great-grandfather you could have by his family and by fans as the sometimes grumpy (always loving, however), often wisecracking, and voice of absolute reason on the History television show ‘Pawn Stars’. Services are pending and the family appreciates your prayers and kind words. – Gold and Silver Pawn
