I suggested going to the three 'alternates' and at least it would give them some meaning. Just throwing it back out there to chew on. Edit: I"m sorry my suggestion was for all rounds other than the Finals, I like the sudden death proposal.

(UPDATE): After successfully undergoing surgery to remove a tumor, Georgia’s first lady, Sandra Deal, is taking the next step in her journey with breast cancer. Deal announced in January that she would undergo chemotherapy after her surgery as a precaution (!).

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous
Sir Creep replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Almost one for Possibilities (if you suspect a thin chance of a QO). He's a nobody but his dad is certainly a somebody, whether that would be true in the UK media I shall let you determine. Cleveland Cavaliers owner (and Quicken Loans guru, which is how he got the $ to buy the Cavs) Dan Gilbert says his son Nick survived eight hours of brain surgery. Gilbert posted on Twitter that 21-year-old Nick was recovering after the operation on a tumour. The younger Gilbert was born with neurofibromatosis, a genetic nerve disorder that causes tumours to grow anywhere in the body. SC -
If someone tells a joke in the forest and no one hears it.... (LOL apologies Drol....I only just saw this which is painfully obvious

OK I'll play the 'potential suicide' game. Breaking news: Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R) was accused of having an affair with a married woman in 2015. He reportedly blackmailed the mistress in question, threatening to release nude photos of her, to keep her quiet. He admitted to the relationship, but not the blackmail. On Thursday, he was indicted in St. Louis on a first-degree felony invasion of privacy. He's about to lose it all. Power hungry people generally can't tolerate that when it's not on their terms. One to watch in coming months if not weeks. SC

Where Will The Next School Massacre Be?
Sir Creep replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Well the next school massacre WON'T be in Tulsa, OK. Not today at least. Schools on lockdown after numerous online threats. SC -
I need your sources! LOL. I found half a dozen links, all tied to North Carolina. With one interesting exception just now. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-43171117 A QO!

(Update form the Horse's Mouth) "I went in the hospital to get my blood sugar under control," Lange tweeted on Thursday, after the publication of this story. "I'm out to go to work. I missed too many days & I insisted. My blood pressure is way up. So I have to go back in tonight til it’s down. I'm payin for an unhealthy life. When the medication is right I will be fine." After Lange left the hospital, he appeared Thursday on "The Artie & Anthony Show" on Compound Media, which he co-hosts with Anthony Cumia. He tweeted that he did not want to miss the show, but that a doctor had warned him he could be at risk for a stroke, so he was advised to return to the hospital for treatment. His message to fans (and everyone else): "I ain't ready to check out yet." Not sure if he's in charge of that decision. SC

She even died in a UK hospital! University of Kentucky that is. Hope Hurst Lanham, 50, CEO of Hurst Office Suppliers, died Thursday at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center after suffering complications from the flu. Mrs. Lanham became ill in late January. She became CEO when her father died in 2011. His name: Dick Hurst (damn near Dick Hurts... oh c'mon it wasn't only me who immediately thought that. Was it?) SC

I'm not a visitor, but I'm irate lol. Whoever is in charge of the 'search' box, which is allowed to be slightly frustrating, but not useless..... Go ahead and type 'CEO' and you will get zero hits. OK change it to 'CEO's' and ditto. Now goddamit we have a thread entitled along the lines of 'company presidents, CEO's etc' how in living hell does it not pull that up? SC EDIT: "Businesspeople, Investors, Ceos" Ceos seriously? In any case, I am going to guess the term 'CEO'' is in that thread 50 times if it's in there once. No hits?????

Walter Degen dies at 90; was Mister Softee for generations of kids. Steering his big white and blue ice cream truck around the streets of [Long Island, NY], Walter Degen became a community fixture — seven days a week, at least seven months a year, from 1958 to 1995. The popular owner of six trucks was the subject of a 1985 Newsday feature story, ‘Summer with the Ice Cream Man.’ Walter Degen died Feb. 1, 2018, of complications from a stroke. Trying to imagine a my 7-year old daughter running up to me 'daddy I need $, Mister Softee is coming!' That wouldn't play in 2018 would it? SC

75 votes later, Linda Nolan STILL a unique! Apparently myself and my Cup opponent are the only two what think she's about done for, seeing as she is the ONLY name in common on our entries. So either we are nuts or y'all are. SC

What Kind Of Person Deadpools?
Sir Creep replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
A little bit of my reputation preceding me... So I get this new night shift person out at the rig a week ago. She is quite the anomaly: 25, educated (Oklahoma State Univ - geology), and extremely attractive. (In fact my first question upon meeting her was 'what the HELL are you doing in the oil field?). So I like her around lol. OK let's stick to the subject matter. So after a bit of chatting she says 'so I understand you follow dead people'... (that was a quote, but you know what she meant). I chuckle a bit and say yes I track everyone on a daily basis (and talk about it with co-workers, who don't care at first but then find it quite interesting after a week or so). To which she says 'me and some friends have a contest we pick a name or two and see if they die". So THAT'S the type of person who dead pools! SC -
msc = Masculine or Ms.C, you choose.
