There are no threads anymore. All that attaches is the immediate quote, and not the conversation. If you expect Sir Creep to go back in time (weeks, months) to compile the conversation, rest assured that isn't going to happen. Ask the Admins to put it back the way it was. SC

Miami Dolphins great Nick Buonticonti discusses his CTE diagnosis etc.... with a 6-yr life expectancy a name for 2020. SC -
FFS....oh i may agree this seems the most appropriate thread, but FFS (yes I said it again) now this guy is in THREE threads in a matter of 30 minutes. Search box must not be working again *rolls eyes*. Can't wait for Joey Russ or summat to launch the Geoffrey Bayldon thread....as usually happens after the fact, like this is a fahkin tribute website FFS (thrice). SC

I don't know this actor ... what's the tie-in with the Titanic? The obit isn't shedding any light. If there is a Titanic tie-in, then let me be the first to give my deepest sympathies. SC

Tru dat, but being wider by nature, they will have a bit more trouble maneuvering traffic, and it all evens out. SC (Edit: Perhaps the editors should have thought twice before saying the ambulances 'rolled out' in the title. Some fatty reads that may cause them to fall into depression and binge eat, and thus a self-fulfilling prophecy).

The Death List 1988?A great mystery.
Sir Creep replied to Sean's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Would it be OK to make a 1988 list now that is 50/50 hits and ups our percentages? I am limiting this question to those who, upon a person's death, change the name of the person in the poll questions asking who will be next to die so they are 'right'. SC -
They don't call you Deathray for nuthin.

For once I understand a person changing their surname professionally. This may be the only time. Bill Peet was a children's book illustrator and a writer for Disney animations circa 1937-1967, and died 15 years ago, age 87. His birth name was William PEED, and while disturbing enough, clearly couldn't be used professionally on children's books or animations.

As for trance/synthpop music, I believe it was George Santayana who said, "Those who ignore the first 32 bars are doomed to repeat it." SC

Proud to say I've never heard of him, or his song (after giving it a listen). Sounds like pure Euro shite. "Trance" music. SMH belongs up someone's arse. Am I sounding crumudgeon enuff? SC

OH GODDAMN how about a THREE-fur! On Thursday evening, Edward Crawford, Jr. -- whose iconic photo appeared as representing the police protest anger of the people of Ferguson, MO -- was found dead in his car with what appeared to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The medical examiner’s office labeled Crawford’s death a suicide. He was 27 and LEAVES BEHIND FOUR CHILDREN. Hope the American readers here are happy to foot that bill. SC

DAMN, a 2-for-1 day in the suicide thread Now here's one person I am delighted got to keep his 2nd Amendment rights! Robert Eugene Owens, the editor of popular Second Amendment advocacy blog BearingArms.com, was found dead Monday morning in what authorities have ruled a suicide. The 46-year-old was found by authorities outside of his North Carolina home next to a stop sign around 11 a.m. on Monday, the Fuquay-Varina Police Department said. A firearm was located near Owens.

A Michigan House member from Marquette was found dead from an apparent suicide on Tuesday, just one day after he was arrested for DUI. State Rep. John Kivela died of an apparent suicide, state officials confirmed Tuesday. The Democratic lawmaker from Marquette was arrested Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and released on bond, according to the Clinton County Sheriff's Office. Seems to me politicians have come back from a lot worse. Sad. SC (Edit: A lot worse than DUI, not a lot worse than suicide. No politician has recovered from that)

Chance the Rapper is mourning the loss of his aunt Kimberly Bennett right now. Bennett died on Sunday after battling inflammatory breast cancer, which is a type of cancer that is, according to Chance, commonly misdiagnosed by those in the medical field. He sounds like an expert on this; I'll buy it. SC -

#18: Cinta, one of the Hattiesburg Zoo’s 5-year-old Sumatran twin tigers, passed away Sunday afternoon from a sudden illness. His brother, Kuasa, has not shown any signs of illness and is in good health. FYI we had twin tigers born in the Lafayette Zoo about 4 years ago, and similarly one of them died after a couple years for seemingly no reason (ended up being a hereditary heart condition). SC

Cecilia Kuhn, whose drumming for the fearless feminist punk band Frightwig inspired countless musicians, has died of cancer. She was 61. Frightwig bassist Deanna Mitchell posted on the band's Facebook page last week that Kuhn had died that Thursday. SC

John David Molson was once the president and owner of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. He was at the helm during the team's heyday. The Habs won five Stanley Cup titles during Molson's time as president, from 1964 to 1972. "We regret to announce the passing of former Canadiens president and owner John David Molson at age 88. Our condolences to the Molson family," the Montreal Canadiens tweeted Monday afternoon. Of course he's part of the Molson Brewery clan....in case that fact wasn't apparent. SC
