Been To Any Good Gigs Lately?

Oh my..... 99% of me says this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. 1% of me says it would be even dumber to miss it. LOL SC http://www.metrotimes.com/city-slang/archives/2017/05/08/insane-clown-posse-to-play-their-debut-album-in-its-entirety-at-el-club-in-august-for-250-a-head -
Is this still going to be a new rule? I didn't see it re-posted but here it is in black and white. This would mean no teams can be turned in anytime soon. SC

From March: Jose 'The Pirate' Padilla, the 1-eyed bullfighter, gets 'his goddamn glass eye knocked out by a charging bull'. Great cover photo. SC

#17: The Denver Zoo’s king cobra has been having a tough couple of months. The 18-year-old cobra was diagnosed with cancer, more specifically lymphosarcoma of the skin, in February. With little available research and without examples from others, the zoo didn’t have a ready-made guidebook to follow. Undeterred, the zoo has created its own treatment plan and has so far found success by treating the powerful, 12½ -foot king cobra as if he were an average house cat. The zoo veterinarian took a treatment plan for domestic cats and adapted it for the king cobra. Using the same chemo that a human may use, the zoo puts a pill down the throat of a dead rodent and feeds it to the snake every three weeks. So far, the results have been great. The cobra’s blood work shows an improvement, and he has been ravenous, gaining some of the weight he had lost. SC

Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverly's grandfather died prior to tip-off of Game 4 of the NBA playoff game between the Rockets and San Antonio Spurs. Beverley played 26 minutes in Game 4, posting 10 points and 6 assists in a 125-104 win. Nowhere in the article does it say his grandfather's name, so it must not be important. SC (Edit: Here's ESPN of all things coming to save the day with actual information) -
I"m still trying to figure out how I got 30 points last game. WOO HOO, just happy not to get shut out, knowing little to nothing about the subjects involved. That said, let's give her another go. How does that work with an impending election? Alas....I'll just throw together 50 names and see what sticks. SC

I see everyone else puts the person's age in their posts. I'll try to do better moving forward.

Well according to this from 2015 (and it's accuracy I question, seeing as it doesn't mention Bluett): (Edit: Upon re-read I guess it doesn't say Houghton was the ONLY uncredited actor, just the oldest one). SC Surviving 'Gone with the Wind' cast members Following the deaths of Mary Anderson and Alicia Rhett in 2014, besides Olivia de Havilland the only other surviving Gone with the Wind cast member is Mickey Kuhn, 82, who played Melanie's son, Beau Wilkes. Including uncredited (and unconfirmed) bits, online sources claim the oldest surviving Gone with the Wind cast member is Shep Houghton, who is supposed to have turned 101 last June 4.

Vagrants, Tramps, Homeless Eccentrics And Hermits

A drunk and high charismatic Portland homeless leader who left town in disgrace but gained a reputation for effectively working on the national level has died. Michael Stoops passed away early Monday morning, after a long period of poor health. Stoops suffered a stroke in June 2015 while working for the National Coalition for the Homeless, which he helped found. Stoops had the same name as the places he used to sleep. SC -
Here's one that almost slipped by. Sam Mele, a former big league outfielder who later managed the Minnesota Twins to a team-record 102 wins in a season, has died. He was 95. The Boston Red Sox said Tuesday that Mele died at home Monday in Quincy, Massachusetts. Mele made his major league debut with the Red Sox in 1947 and, after he was done managing, worked 25 years for them as a scout and in other roles. Mele played 10 seasons in the majors, batting .267 with 80 home runs and 544 RBIs for the Red Sox, Washington, the Chicago White Sox, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland. He hit .302 as a rookie and in 1951 tied for the American League in doubles with 36. Mele coached and worked for Washington, then stayed with the team when it moved to Minnesota in 1961. He became manager of the Twins during that season. In 1965, Mele guided the Twins to their first pennant, going 102-60. Minnesota lost Game 7 of the World Series to Sandy Koufax and the Los Angeles Dodgers. SC

What's to stop anyone from making random lists all over this website? I hope an Admin is forward-thinking enough to take this post down. This is the seminal post for why you've been blocked....and remain the only person I have had to do that with. SC

All that sounds about right Spade. Hadn't heard the term 'bass music' before, gun to my head I'd have guessed dubstep of some sort (I don't know all the breakdowns and subsets lol). He looked like a lock step obit, thought being young he should have some time left even if things head south quickly. SC

No idea who he is or what exactly he does in the music industry, and that's AFTER reading this article. But I presume this is the correct place to drop it. Christopher Mercer, aka British bass music pioneer Rusko, is undergoing treatment for gastric lymphoma, a type of stomach cancer. In a note posted to Twitter, the producer explained that he has returned to the UK to receive treatment following a stay in an American hospital. He added that all upcoming shows have been cancelled, though new music is on the way. Though it may be posthumous. SC

Cult leader Yahweh ben Yahweh died 10 years ago. Perhaps more notably, the key witness against him was a former NFL player who joined the cult and killed upwards of 7 white folk to please YbY. Robert Rozier is now 61, and has spent 28 of the past 31 years behind bars. He can't last forever....a name to put on the back burner for a couple years but a likely death before 2025, I'd surmise.

This should be no one's thread. SMFH Marion Ross is next seeing as her on screen TV daughter just croaked. SC
