Coulda posted this in like 4 threads: Photographer Christopher Ashton Serrano, who dazzled Instagram followers with challenging, and unusually beautiful snaps of city life at often dizzying heights, died Wednesday trying to scale a moving train in Brooklyn, according to a Digital Rev report. He was 25. SC http://www.vocativ.com/366059/daredevil-instagrammer-dies-train/?utm_source=TSE&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=INF&utm_content=inf_10_42_2&tse_id=INF_f3ee78a0931f11e6bd3ee3ca348530db

Cmon ya damn Brits! Racer Dan Wheldon - 5 years, shortly after winning Indy 500 a second time. Also Moshe Dayan, Isreali Foreign Minister - 35 years. He must have done most his ministering to the USA cuz I know his name as omnipresent in the 70s. Couldn't tell you the present Isreali Foreign Minister's name, alls I'm sayin.

Do Le Monde and Le Figaro seriously not count as "reliable, respectable sources of international news" ? http://www.lemonde.fr/disparitions/article/2016/01/02/le-chanteur-michel-delpech-est-mort_4840953_3382.htmlhttp://www.lefigaro.fr/musique/2016/01/02/03006-20160102ARTFIG00134-le-chanteur-michel-delpech-est-mort-a-69ans.php OK new rule.If you want to win points from these sources then you have to get obits from both to count for HPDP points. Thus you are awarded your prize. I had the same Problem with Hendrikje Fitz whose death was reported in every single german newspaper, including the respected ones.I don't care the readership of the sources, but if you can't get ONE goddamn obit to be printed in the English language--face it, you were a nobody. I would accept a union newsletter from Ukranian whale bone carvers published in Kyoto, so long as it's in English. That, my friend, was Fitz' undoing and no way in hell am I recognizing Francaphone newsprint beyond its bird cage lining ability. But hey, whatever rule works for y'all. Who said Le Monde was a widely respected paper, the editors at Le Monde who wrote the Wiki article?SC

She was put down today, much sooner than expected but alas that's how it goes with rodents sometimes. Was even doing alright last night but she went downhill very rapidly this morning and knew it was the humane thing to do. I'll miss her a lot but at least will always have the memories. Sucks to make 'the humane' decision for our animal friends. Even if we know it's for the best. Poor Guinea pig :-(

What I suspected was a spider bite or insect sting on my neck four days ago was diagnosed last night as Shingles. Oh yay. The next month will suck. I presume someone around here has had shingles experience. Talk me off the ledge. I fully plan on going to work on the morrow. SC

Next to none. Her death was all but guaranteed in Dec and even Sir Creep who lives by the mantra 'only dead people get obits' left her off his list. But SC seriously wishes you well. SC
