Yeah, surely not. Cause he either gets himself together or gets killed during one of his drunken brawls (rendering him ineligible ).

A solid list overall. The only complain I'd have is that there might be a bit too many purely age based picks for my taste, especially in the top 10. (But at least the young ones are confirmed terminal cases like Downie or Bracknell or near-dead-certs like Christie; sure, none of them would provide headlines like Prince, Bowie or George Michael, but at least they are fresh blood compared to the usual folks.)

Likely just an accident, like Shaun's double post. Both threads have the same timestamp and text, so let's give the forum newbie the benefit of the doubt.

Well, there is nothing intrinsically special about the age of 99 or the age of 100 (just try to convert them to binary to get an unremarkable 1100011 or 1100100); but Zsa Zsa had so many concurrent ailments (presumably, the death certificate had to be supplemented with extra rows to list all of them) that it would've been a small miracle if she lasted until her 100th birthday.

AFAIK, Carrie Fisher had one kid, the actress Billie Lourd. Todd Fisher is a widower and through his marriage, a stepfather of a further three children (whose biological father is Johnny Rivers). Carrie and Todd also have two half-sisters, but neither of them are biologically related to Debbie. So it'd seem to me that Billie is the only grandkid inheriting anything. Todd will presumably also inherit, but I'm not sure about his stepchildren. But would the inheritance make up for losing a mum/grandma and a sister/mother in just two days during the festive season?
-
The stress of losing a daughter is too much for an old lady like Debbie. Sad, but not surprising. I feel sorry for her granddaughter, Billie Lourde, who might lose her mum and a grandma within a week. Hopefully not though.

Trusting his lawyer enough to give him money to invest without a proper formal contract was a really dumb decision. I can't imagine why someone would trust their lawyer over family and friends. This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. You must be third from the left on the evolutionary chart if you 'can't imagine why' a person would trust their lawyer over family. I'm going to let you rethink that blithering statement, and maybe whilst your at it you can work on this conundrum: why would anyone make a Last Will & Testament?Egad. SC A Last Will & Testament is a proper, enforceable legal document. If he had just made his lawyer write and sign a formal contract, getting his money back would've been so much easier. I still stand by my previous opinion, according to which the only scenario where I'd lend money to anyone without a formal contract would involve close family members or friends that I blindly trust. Of course, if I had many estranged relatives, I could contract a law firm and sign a last will just to make sure they don't inherit anything (but not without twice reading the document drafted by the lawyers). Also, the Anglo-Saxon legal culture might be a bit different from the Eastern European that I'm much more familiar with. Here we have too many lawyers compared to the size of the national market, so some of them specialize in shady (or sham) deals, like assisting people in founding and bankrupting 20 different companies in a year or tricking old people into effectively selling their property well under the fair market price (on a false promise that it'd be leased back to them "for free").

Man, the old guy is tougher than I thought. Even if these engagements only utilize his smiling and handshaking skills, his schedule is still kind of demanding for a nonagenarian.
-
Oh, until now, I didn't realize that his new wife was so much younger than him. A bit weird to see that sprightly middle aged lady besides the wheelchair-bound, frail old man. (But I know he has been a widower and not a divorcee, so I couldn't complain much.) I'm not 100% sure that 2017 will be his year, but he doesn't look much better than Kirk Douglas, so he could make an OK DL-candidate.
-
He's a long shot only if you assume he'd go down the George Best route, with liver failure/transplants etc. But there are a few other options: One of these drunken rages could seal his fate: what if he (or someone else) hits his head a little harder? What if he chokes on his own vomit? Acute alcohol poisoning or a simple heart attack (his heart being weakened by years of abuse) are also not out of the question.
-
Somehow I knew she wouldn't make the starting line. Half an hour without a pulse was prolly too much for her brain anyways, spared her family of a difficult decision (whether to keep her alive if she is in a PVS and unlikely to ever regain consciousness).
-
Then no one is going to like your post I did, just to be sure, and cos I like to put noses out of joint I did as well, to set up the trap for the uninitiated. This Christmas's been unusually cruel with them old folks, but 12 is a decent number of hits already so I voted NOTA.
-
Man, these celebs are droppin like flies this year. The fact that the DL could still only get 22% is a bit disappointing, but it's probably too late for another hit. So NOTA.

Dead George Michael, Innit Peeps
GossipGabe replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList Forum
Well, the Reaper usually doesn't rest. This year has affected the entertainment sector (esp. musicians & actors) badly, I guess we could have something else for next year. Big political deaths (think Carter or Bush Sr.), royals (not just Phil and Lizzy, we also have guys like Michael of Romania), scientists or writers... -
Dead George Michael, Innit Peeps
GossipGabe replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList Forum
I wouldn't describe a heart attack as peaceful....Sudden cardiac arrest, heart stops functioning, soon loses consciousness and a little later comes the Reaper. Of course, you could picture something more peaceful, like a 115 y.o. grandma dying of old age (what a lie, old age is not a proper cause of death), but still more peaceful than a mobster gunned down by rival gangs, or an incurable cancer slowly but steadily eating up someone's body. Btw. Wikipedia lists 'AIDS related complications' as the cause of death. Likely just a hoax (since the BBC doesn't have it), but I couldn't rule it out yet. -
Seems a dead cert, but since he never played club football in England or for a big club in Spain,Germany etc. he might be at risk for failing to get a QO. As a few guys have mentioned before, Scottish sources are likely to cover his departure since that first World Cup goal was scored by him in the 1982 WC against Scotland (2-5).
-
Her brother is the source who had –reportedly, according to AP– first claimed that her condition was stabilized, then denied ever saying she had been stable and now claiming her condition is unknown. I guess, the guy is a bit stressed out and confused, and doesn't really understand much of the technical lingo used by the medical staff, hence talking utter nonsense and retracting it almost immediately (blaming the media). I don't really think a reputable news agency like the Associated Press would misinterpret him, so from now on, I wouldn't really trust what he has to say about her condition. (It's most likely still critical.)
-
Yeah, that or Todd Fisher didn't really know what he was talking about. Being in an IC unit in an unstable (critical) condition means the doctors are still fighting for her life. And even if they could stabilize her, her brains (cognitive functions) are likely already beyond repair, so SW fans should not expect her to appear in the sequels, except maybe in a CGI form (or using already recorded footage).
-
Lots of people survive heart attacks, 30 minutes without a pulse is more of an issue.
-
Let's just count. The heart attack happened 15 minutes before the plane landed and a further 15 before they could get a pulse. 15 plus 15 equals 30 minutes, in other words, her brain is basically fucked. Even if she were to (miraculously) survive the next 72 hours, she'll likely end up like Terri Schiavo, in a permanent vegetative state on life support until the end of her life.
-
Not to gloat, but.................... Of all these wild guesses (like 3 different dates/predictions in the 3 posts that you cited) one of them had to be right. Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Knew he wouldn`t keep his mouth shut for long.I hope he is lying about giving her chest compressions on the floor.I don't think he was lying, he just wanted to keep that mansion as long as he could at all costs. On the other hand, he might just have hastened her death by not knowing what he was doing and mishandling the frail woman. It's not even the first (nor the second or the last) interview that he gave about this topic. He seems desperate to squeeze out every nickel (and publicity) from his status as her hubby even after her death.

I'm glad that none of the major deadpools here allow minors on their lists. I really hope the kid will be alright, but either way, I'd not speculate on his health. Bruce, on the other hand, might be frail or even just a mere shadow of his former self, but he still has a long, full, successful career behind him. (I'm not convinced that he's suffering from a terminal condition, but there's no reason to remove him from the list.)
