Those who are the most annoying are the visitors who call us "evil" for predicting people's deaths. Well, look at it this way, oh, dear guests: We're not hoping that the people on our lists die. We're hoping that we chose people who were going to die anyway for our lists.

Cancer took advantage of a Blank Space in her immune system. SC "But you've got cancer baby, so I'll write your name (on my Personal Deathlist 2016, that is)" -
Sorry I didn't see the first one posting so I posted again sorry if it annoys youI'm getting to the point of just giving up on you!.You need to show some modicum of punctuation. Capital letters for names of people. Use a coma when needed. Be interesting and post with a level of incite-fulness. End with a full stop. If you can't do any of that, rearrange, and personally do, this well known phrase or saying: off, right, fuck! Use a coma - I second that. I agree heartily. Comas are always welcome in dead pooling. OK I'll try to be better with my grammer especially commas. Grammer? No. Kelsey Grammer is only 60 years old and has no health problems. he's not a good candidate for any Deathlists or deadpools.

No he won't. he'll live to 100 at least.Only the good die young Oh, shit! That means George Bush and Dick Cheney will be around for a couple more centuries...

There have been cases - one fairly recently but I can't recall exactly when - of the world's oldest title being surrendered by someone who remained alive; because another claiment was proven to be genuinely older. That's less and less likely to happen with better record keeping from the end of the 19th century. That would be Maria Gomes Valentim (9 July 1896 - 21 June 2011), who was discovered to be the world's oldest person after the title was given to Eunice Sanborn (20 July 1896 - 31 January 2011) and later to Besse Cooper (26 August 1896 - 4 December 2012), who later had the title anyway.

Anyways, Gertrude Weaver's death was really unexpected to me. I mean, Misao Okawa looked like she couldn't move a face muscle and that she needs a drool bucket (that needs to be refilled twice an hour), but she made it to 117. Gerty, however, looked a lot better, so I was thinking she might make at least 118. I guess at such an old age, you never know.
-
Fun Fact: While Gertrude Weaver only held the title for 5 days, Emma Tillman only held it for 4 (in January 2007, I believe).

Ugh, I totally forgot he isn't on my list. That sucks, he's totally gonna die soon...

I read the news about his hospitalization while in the tram (Not in a newspaper, here in Kraków, the more modern trams have these little TVs that show news headlines and a bunch of ads) Since I didn't know all the details, I thought it was serious and started getting all excited about how I'll finally get my 3rd hit. But I like B. B. King's music, so if I had to choose, I'd definitely rather have someone else die from my list.

The witch Margaret Thatcher died on 8 April 2013, aged 87 from a stroke. I was going to add a picture, but I couldn't find one that wasn't hideous.

This story is a little old and probably fake, but what a laugh! http://www.celebdirtylaundry.com/2015/queen-elizabeth-orders-prince-charles-divorce-camilla-parker-bowles-after-drunk-palace-fight-injures-prince-philip/ A drunken, raging Camilla beat up poor, old Prince Phillip!

If 5/50 is "not bad", then what do you call my 2/50?

Francis Cardinal George released from the hospital, feeling much better. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-cardinal-george-released-from-hospital-20150403-story.html Just when I thought he'd be my 3rd hit... -
I decided not to put Misao Okawa on my list just because she was only famous for her old age, but now I kind of regret it. I mean, it's already April and I only have 2 deaths while pretty much every other person here on the forum has, like, 4 or 5.

It's the 10th anniversary of the death of Pope Saint John Paul II. I hate how my fellow countrymen obsess over him so much.

I was thinking about making a DDP theme team for Poles in 2016, but I realized that many potential candidates such as Danuta Szaflarska, Franciszek Macharski and Stanisław Dziwisz probably won't get UK obits. So I'll probably just make one overall for Slavs, since it will be easier to come up with famous names.

Aww, I was hoping she'd live to be 118 at least. Anyways, I also expected to be the first to post the enws, so here is a link anyway: http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/misao-okawa-oldest-person-world-dies-117-n333706 It's a US link, but I couldn't find any UK.

BTW, if nobody guesses the correct date, the person who was closest will win.

I'm looking out for Francis Cardinal George. At #30, he might be my 3rd hit of the year. -
Give up. It's useless and extremely difficult. W Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie. ... Well, in all seriousness, there aren't many resources on the web. You could get a private tutor, or sign up for PolishPod101. I'm actually interested in learning languages, and I'm satisfied with FrenchPod101. So I guess you could try the Polish version.

Okay, I think it's time to close the competiton. Otherwise some sassy guest will come on and "predict" correctly right after Martin dies. MARTIN CROWE 2015 SWEEPSTAKES: Closed When will the winner be announced? When Martin dies you dummies!

Looking at the list in your signature there are about 5 names that I do not recognise. Some US politicians do get UK obits but it wouldn't be guaranteed. But your personal list is just that and we would respect your right to post about anyone on it. I'm just asking out of curiosity - who didn't you recognize? George Ryan, Marla Gibbs, Gov Pat Quinn, Richard Daley & Carol Burnett George Ryan - Former Governor of Illinois, he was very corrupt and went to prison for a few years. He's 81 this year. Marla Gibbs - Actress, starred as sassy maid Florence in "The Jeffersons". She's 84 this year. Pat Quinn - Another Former Governor of Illinois. This guy was slightly less corrupt, but what can you expect in Illinois. I don't remember his age, but he is in his 60s. Richard Daley - Wow, I included too many Illinois politicians on my list. This guy is the Former Mayor of Chicago. Also in his 60s. Carol Burnett - I'm surprised you don't know her. She is a famous American comedienne. She's 82 this year.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it, but I figured what the heck, so I changed my vote from Zsa Zsa Gabor to Martin Crowe.

Since people are including the time, then I'll go for 1 April, 6:00am GMT

SWEEPSTAKES TIME! I'll go for... hmm... 1 April.
