Elena Ceaucescu and Graca Machel spring to mind.

All the reports say she was born in 1932. DDP has her born in 1936. That would cause more points than are due to be awarded. So be clear, everybody says she was 91 when she died.

I also forgot Geoffrey Cox - you know, that honourable member who spent most of his time in his Parliamentary office lining his own pockets and doing his second job, instead of representing his constituents. Slurry, as I said. Wonder if they have cameras following the current lot around. -
Ah mon ami. Lovely this time of year, is it not?

Sooooo... Watched the Laura K show State of Chaos. The utter slurry of our political masters on show. Highlights: William Hague saying that David Cameron was a great loss as he would have been a great PM with a few more years in him. This would be the same David Cameron who everyone was saying was probably the worst PM since Lord North? Gavin Williamson. Kwasi Kwarteng. Jacob Rees-Mogg. Matt Hancock. Jesus H Christ. Principled politicians who came across rather well - Justine Greening, Amber Rudd, yes even Steve Baker. No Theresa May - admittedly a better though bitter backbencher than she ever was as PM. Every bloody voter in the country should be forced to watch this before the next election. -

Mary Taylor (nee Todd), wife of former Northern Irish UUP MP and MEP John Taylor, Baron Kilclooney, reportedly dead: John Taylor is 85 and will turn 86 in December. So worth noting. -
Watching the new Tenable series. Warwick Davis has lost his slowness and is looking a lot better. Still a lack of smiling at the end of his puns, and still a bit starey. Didn't he do some Willow TV series recently? Anyway, he might not trouble us for a while, imo.

And Tommy Cannon. Only just though. How did I not recall the late great Dick Emery? Only gave the names I remembered late at night on my way to dreamland. Kill them all!

In my defence on the above, I would have been far too young to remember This Is Tom Jones. Shirley - again I don't remember at all. I see she had two seasons only, separated by a whole year or more. Anyway, on the laws of averages and Forum posts leading to an expedited death, they'll all be dead within a year!

I'd have said Lulu wasn't a major star - sorry wee Marie from the Gorbals. I have no recollection of Cliff having an eponymous show. Ever. It is possible that I may have received hypnosis to blank out any memory of it though. Very possible.

Been watching this man over the last few days. In India. Hugs Modi and looks forward to a trade deal with India )how long has this been promised?). But will not even broach the subject of Russia. Talks about the close relationship the UK and India has - true,Rishi, you do know we pillaged that country for decades as part of the Empire? Talks about how the UK welcomed his parents to this country. Just to remind you once again Rishi, under current rules your family could rot where they live and would never come to the UK. Terrorist suspect escapes from prison. So what does Sunak do? Can't talk about it as there is an investigation. But he plays the Bawjaws card and picks up the phone to Zelenskyy. Puts out a breathtaking statement that a terrorist suspect is not a danger to the public. Terrorist suspect recaptured. Police and public have done a great job, he says. But what does he have to say about the prison service who highlighted the problems with staffing and pay, or the conditions in the prison? Nothing. Now the greatest of all. He was due to attend a UN Climate Change summit - all PM's do this. But he's not going, as he was going to be snubbed and sidelined due to his policy failures on amibition for climate change. So he's sending Cleverly and Dowden - so they can be snubbed and sidelined instead of him. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/sep/09/rishi-sunak-avoiding-un-climate-summit-over-potential-rejection This utter twat needs to go.

As I drifted off to sleep last night, I was thinking of the major stars who had their own eponymous shows in the '70s. All bar one that I could think of are now dead. Morecambe & Wise; The Two Ronnies, Bruce Forsyth, Cilla Black, Dave Allen and now Mike Yarwood. Still alive - yep, Stanley Baxter!!!!!!!
