First of all, never piss off @Bibliogryphon in one of his threads, it is ok to post here cos you'll just piss off Creep. Secondly, well, I hate to break it to you but conventional prettiness doesn't do anything for me. I'm maybe a bit weird, but pretty isn't handsome in my book. Thirdly, what's with all the beards this WC? Very few blokes can wear a beard well, yet the resurgence in popularity can only be ascribed to a new generation of lazy bastards who can't be arsed shaving. Manbuns and dreads - really? I've always thought footy in the main was for people too stupid to do anything else, so they revert to doing what they were good at when at school. Around it has grown a culture of money and corruption given due approbation by fans of the game who support it. You know, rather like when some folk thought Peter Kay was funny, so they stick with it and buy tickets for his tired shows, despite knowing he's already made more money than he knows what to do with and never has to work again. Anyway, I'll try and come up with my starting XI in due course.

I have no idea about that category. My auntie (friend of the family) adores Formula 1. I don't see the appeal, but then watching footballers writhing around on the grass as I have done for days doesn't do it for me either. (Very disappointed with the quality of eye candy in the World Cup! If @Gooseberry Crumble wants to challenge me to pick one out however...) but I digress. I just went to one year on Wiki, picked out a few names and jotted them down. Haven't watched Corrie in decades, Oscars I watch but probably instantly forget - the best films generally don't get nommed or win. BRITS - James Corden, 'nuff said? Time 100? Do I care about millionaires? Anyway, my team is in and therefore they live as long as this game is a long drawn out affair!

There's been enough chat on here about several ex-Corrie actors. But hey why not just go to IMDB and stick a pin in 5 names and a sub? Remember, you might not need any of them to die to win.

My own respect for the site owners did. I don't just open threads nilly and thither....

Weir was second bottom for me, so I'll take the 2 point hit of course.
-
Followed up quickly with a Leslie Phillips hit. Followed up very very quickly with a Bill Treacher hit. Followed in short measure by Vicky Phelan, a Wildcard for me. Followed by Doddie Weir. Maybe some points will come my way somehow, some time, some day....(West Side Story).
-
And now Doddie Weir is dead. Question is...is this pool also dead?

Irene Cara's cause of death revealed:

With names such as Irvine, Soutar and Leckie and a couple of gingers, can we claim Australia as honorary Scotland?
-
So answering my own question. Now, at least 4 of them died in 2022 (so far). So if you are looking for unique picks for 2023....just saying....

Death Notice for Edward Kellett-Bowman, aged 91: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/260901/kellett-bowman Wonder how many of @Bibliogryphon's list of survivors remain alive.

Death Notice for Sir John Bourn, former Comptroller and Auditor General, aged 88: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/260881/bourn Was Tony Blair's first Independent Advisor on Ministerial Interests. Turns out he was screwing the public purse for travel expenses and hotel accommodation costs, and when he was found out and liable for years of unpaid taxes, guess who picked up the tab? Yes, the taxpayer paid for his tax avoidance. Truly yer Bourn, you take everyone's money, then you die. Bye bye.

Think it's only winners, it's nominated for an Oscar. But the same considerations apply to winners.
