Pointless to do it. If nobody steps up to do GUN's job, the DDP is dead.

Is it just me, or does every time Hunt appears on the tellybox, talking about hard choices, recession, cuts, tax rises, etc., he smiles and smirks his way through it? After all, he knows where his next meal is coming from. -

Carol Leigh would have QO'ed: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa/article-11443075/Carol-Leigh-activist-coined-term-sex-work--dies-71.html Cancer. -
Dawdling around the Internet, I found an early picture of part of the Larry Parnes stable: Davy Jones: Appeared at the Cavern with the Beatles on occasion, either US or Canadian, lost in the mists of time and possibly dead. Peter Wynne: born Peter Hazelwood, turned down the Beatles for a tour of Scotland, stepped aside to give Eddie Cochran the taxi in which Cochran died, never really had the success he deserved. Born 1939; Died 2021. Duffy Power: born Ray Howard, appeared on the first cover version of a Beatles number, suffered from depression and drug use. Born 1941; Died 2014. Julian X: born Julian Scott, he released a couple of unsuccessful singles, left the stable and became a singer for hire. Reportedly Died 2016 according to this. Billy Fury: Born Ronald Wycherley. One of the best known and successful acts, several hits between 1959 and 1966 went on to have a successful acting career also. Born 1940, Died 1983. Larry Parnes - The Impresario, Born 1929; Died 1989. Dickie Pride: Born Richard Kneller, only hit the charts once despite being generally acknowledged as the most talented performer of the stable. At one point was on heroin, had a lobotomy, and tragically died aged 27 from an overdose of sleeping pills. Born 1941; Died 1969. Joe Brown: Lincolnshire born but marketed as a Cockney, has maintained a fairly successful career as a singer, performer, actor and author for decades. Several hits with his band The Bruvvers. Born 1941; ALIVE. Gene Vincent: Born Vincent Craddock, an American singer who had hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s, he left for Europe after a tax dispute. Was injured in the accident that killed Eddie Cochran. Famously temperamental and alcoholic. Born 1935; Died 1971. Vince Eager: Born Roy Taylor, released several singles and split with Parnes over his commercialisation of Eddie Cochran's death. A minor career as a singer and actor followed. Born 1940; ALIVE. Lance Fortune: Born Christopher Morris with a couple of top 30 hits to his name. Born 1940; ALIVE. Georgie Fame: Born Clive Powell. Three #1s in the 1960s with many other chart hits. Wife committed suicide in 1993. Born 1943; ALIVE. Danny Rivers: Born David Lee Baker, Liverpudlian who troubled the charts only once, had a resurgent career in his late 60s. Born 1942; Died 2016.

Kym Marsh has revealed on It Takes Two that her father, David, has incurable cancer. So here's my question for @Death Impends and @gcreptile. David Marsh was the lead guitarist in Ricky And The Dominant Four, a local Liverpool act that supported the Beatles at the Cavern Club. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/showbiz-tv/bbc-strictly-come-dancings-kym-25171764 So would he be a valid pick for DDP 2023? Asking for a friend... -
No doubt they were both at it. By the time of the split, Diana had learned everything she needed to know about how to play the media, the paparazzi and the public - but from the masters of that, the Royals themselves. As I say, if there was such a smear campaign, William should come out and condemn it publicly, as he did with Bashir. Otherwise he's as much a hypocrite as anyone. And he won't, will he?

Nancy Pelosi steps down as leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives. Probably the right time for her.

Charles' staff led a "smear campaign" against Diana, it is claimed: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/galleries/article-11439665/King-Charles-staff-led-smear-campaigns-Diana-expert-claims.html I look forward to William, coming out and reading a long condemnation and demanding justice, just as he did with Bashir.

Jeremy Hunt just made a slip in responding to a question from Plaid about conequentials, referring to what the English Parliament was doing. Far from Number 10 being drenched in St George's crosses (remember Boris?), he drapes himself and the Houses of Parliament with them too! Lawdy, 12 years of this shite. -

Last picked for the DDP in 2019: http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2019/celebs_N.html#nassem Possibly might have qualified to be picked this year? -
Following on from @gcreptile's quote in the Mahathir Mohamed thread, less than a year until this has been going for 7 years. I see quite a few players haven't updated their lists for dead.

Not insert Asian dictator! I kinda liked him/her.

Nice article including recent photos of the auld bugger: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-11433265/At-97-Malaysia-s-Mahathir-makes-election-hurrah.html Seemingly not suffering from any Malays*. *malaise, geddit? I'll get my winter coat, no wait, I'm wearing it so I don't have to put the heating on.

Obituary for Kymberly Herrin, model turned actress, who has died from breast cancer aged 65: https://newspress.com/herrin-kymberly-ellen/ One of the Playboy playmates in Beverly Hills Cop II, she was rather better known as a girl who appeared in several ZZ Top videos, particularly Legs, and also the "Dream Ghost" (i.e. the sex ghost) in the original Ghostbusters.

I have resisted picking Madge for years. The more she gets to look like Pete Burns in his last years, however, gives me pause as to whether I should punt her on my team.
