Apologies, eye drifts along the line and rests elsewhere....

Noel McKoy, soul singer who hit the UK charts first with his family band McKoy in March 1993 with Fight (#54) has had various reports of his death, but this seems a concrete one: He had a little more success as featured artist on the James Taylor Quartet hit Love The Life which reached #34 in April 1993:

The above is a picture of some Windmill Theatre girls running along the beach (yes a beach!) near to Tower Bridge at the side of the Thames in 1947. Second from the right is Toni Leighton. Here is her death notice as she has died aged 93: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/260503/leighton The beach isn't there anymore. Story here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5983699/When-life-beach-Amazing-pictures-carefree-scenes-forgotten-sand-middle-London.html

Anyway, now have the Hollywood Reporter confirmation: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/andrew-prine-dead-chisum-wide-country-westerns-1235255201/ Andrew Prine I thought was a hit for An Fear Beag rather than gcreptile, but who knows, not a hit for me...

Seen on a night out - seemingly looking great for 89, unless people watchers know summat different: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11385359/Roman-Polanski-89-enjoys-night-Paris-French-actress-wife-Emmanuelle-Seigner.html

So the above John Atterbury is alive - so Phineas Nigellus lives after all. Probably the entry in the latest Equity Mag relates to a pipe smoking Equity rep from Cumbria - or summat.
-
This is sad news. Richard Beaumont played the part of David Sellers, who was one of the crowd of protesting pupils known as the Student Action Group who tried to get the school uniform abolished in Series 2.
-
Ian Thompson dead on the latest Equity mag and reported here as having died in July: https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Ian_Thompson Probably more famous generally for playing Derek in the film A Touch Of Class and Ronnie Slater in Emmerdale.
-
Not sure if this was ever looked into, but the current Equity Magazine has Michael Stainton as dead. There's a Michael Stainton probate granted in 2019, but unlikely given the information above and nothing else, and there's this from Tweetermusk, so maybe something else elsewhere?:

Gabriella Licudi has an unsourced Wiki edit indicating she died back in September. Apparently, Equity are also reporting this according to this post: IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0509145/ -
Ta, I'd spent 3/4 of an hour on her so posted what I had and moved on.

Not sure of the exact date but this newsletter from 9th October 2022 mentions the death of Zulema Dene (b. Ron Peck, British film producer and director responsible for the breakthrough overtly gay movie Nighthawks, and directing the 1980s movie Empire State about yuppies trying to do deals in the Docklands (which included an appearance by Martin Landau), reportedly dead:

For completeness, John Atterbury played Phineas Nigellus Black In The Order Of The Phoenix in an almost blink and you'll miss him scene. Phineas was a former headmaster of the school, appearing in a moving portrait - the role in the books is much more detailed and significant, and his non-appearance in The Deathly Hallows leads fans to speculate how Snape could possibly have known the whereabouts of Potter and Granger to lead to the discovery of Gryffindor's sword.

Ninja'ed. Leaving mine up though, I like the detail.

Set all the settings to ignore, not just posts. Let the system work it through. Works for me. I can see posts from some folk, but not receive DMs or see reactions, others I can not see posts but see reactions if I so wish, it's very flexible. If you are still having issues after 24 hours, then it's God's punishment. -

I think there's a hard core of about 5 or 6 users actively complaining, not all. Maybe the grown ups in the room have already taken the steps necessary to ignore while those who pretend to be helpless like a spat. Not all users use the Forum the way some would like. Easier and safer to use the tools on here if necessary. imo. -

Phew, not ignored. Now go use your ignore function. If you don't, don't complain to the world about what you see. Jeez, Louise (whoever she is, must email Suzie Dent...). -

FFS spending post after post complaining and whining... Anyone bothered by the user in question can spend less than a minute using the ignore function on the user which solves all your issues. You are not helpless in this - use your Forum given rights and stop bewailing, complaining and making snide comments time after time... -
