Just back from being away. Radice always came across as being that privileged thinker rather than doer, remind you of Starmer as he is now, anyone? Certainly contemptuous of the working classes he claimed to represent, but then long standing voting for anything with a red ribbon on his lapel will do that. Probably more centre right than most of his contemporaries. How an unlikeable sort like that got voted in time and again, who knows?
