Been reading some of his contributions to Parliament. Ah, those happy halcyon days when he raised issues of glue sniffing being the major problem in prisons. Obviously the vast majority of his interventions were on schools and education. However he was concerned a lot about travellers being allowed into his constituency, which he referred to as "honest didicois" and "didicois" quite offensively on mor than one occasion - not apparently against parliamentary procedure. His speeches on Section 28 however are exceptionally offensive, even for the time, e.g. for not employing homosexual teachers to "protect our children". But hey that's what you get with A Government with a huge majority. Certainly ambivalent on shops opening on a Sunday - more against than for.
