Sally Kellerman, the original Hotlips in M*A*S*H and loads of other things dead: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/sally-kellerman-dead-hot-lips-houlihan-mash-1235099282/ Previously picked for the DDP apparently not this year (a Crumble sub?). Used this thread as Rover gave a lot of work to it, despite there being a Star Trek Thread.

With Putin having gone full Tonto, I can't shake the image of Lavrov and Putin doing something similar to this as the tanks rolled in:

I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

Had a feeling this would be 2016 all over again. Wake me up when the first fortnight dry spell for the DDP occurs. -
Shades of Steve Bronski, who also died in a fire late last year.
-
Yeah, I can't even chuckle at my DDP team name, given the circumstances.

Described as a horror blaze. Doesn't sound like sensationalism either. Horrific.

Anna Karen is sadly a hit for me here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10543127/On-Buses-EastEnders-star-Anna-Karen-dies-house-fire.html

Anna Karen QO: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10543127/On-Buses-EastEnders-star-Anna-Karen-dies-house-fire.html Died in a house fire, unnatural death points?

Sad news indeed then. While I never saw her in Eastenders (there is only so much death and despair you can take of an evening) Olive Rudge was truly an heroic character in On The Buses, putting up with her brother's lechery and her husband's implied impotence. When she went to work in the canteen of the bus station, her character really came into her own. RIP. Someone contact her agent and get this on the news.

Anally probe me with a bargepole, Szeles QO: https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-john-edward-szeles-dead-26309532

It's the Dagenham connection that hints at possibly true. I'd expect someone who was majorly involved acting in Eastenders to obit, might require filtering through. If it is true of course.

We have a report on Szeles: https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/groundbreaking-vegas-magician-the-amazing-johnathan-dies-at-63-2533797/ QO possible?
-
Maybe 23 if Anna Karen is confirmed.

This seems to be an out the blue post about the death of Anna Karen, Olive from On The Buses. Anyone access to other social media which backs this up? Asking for a friend who picked her for the DDP.

British mezzo Josephine Veasey reportedly dead aged 91: https://www-plateamagazine-com.translate.goog/noticias/12795-fallece-la-mezzosoprano-inglesa-josephine-veasey-a-los-91-anos?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0891540/ DDP pick @gcreptile.

John Szeles, aka The Amazing Johnathan, reportedly dead: DDP pick for years, presume he is again. No official news report surprisingly, it's been hours - unless the missus works for Hollywood Unlocked.

Could save some money by axing that dreadful little Newscast. Meaningless bubble drivel - a journos masturbatory dream down the pub brought to the masses. I've been in the Press Bar in Glasgow and heard more cogent discussion on the issues of the day.

With no real axe to grind myself either way, I would say that back in the day both Westminster parties really had a right of reply, regardless of who was in power. So a government minister would come on then an opposition member would have a right of reply. And they would all get a hard time. Since the Coalition, there has been a tendency (apart from the Marr show and maybe Newsnight and both hardly mass public friendly timing) simply to have Government reps come on for a grilling. Now, that's my job, not a journalist, because I'm allowed simply to attack whoever is in power. Yeah, there is going to be imbalance. I simply ask why the clearout? It'll be that dame off Politics Live next, she's getting a bit to uppity with the Tories who come on her show.

If anyone's interested, they could do worse than listen to the speech given by the representative from Kenya at the Security Council last night. I found it the most credible and most moving speech given there. China's 5 line speech was a bit surprising.
