Always just before Christmas. I guess they think last week or so of deaths isn't remembrance, it's news. Think Bob Dole was missed out. I guess they did some last minute pruning for Sally Ann Howes.

They didn't finish with Prince Philip? Most astonishing, I'd have started with those at the end. I went at the strains of Smalltown Boy, twas sniffle central.
-
Beeb's We Remember is on at 12:30 today. I've got my usual hanky ready for the sniffles. Wonder who they will leave out?

Not much of a pop career pre-1980s! Plenty of pop stars dead after 1979 - still 50s folk living, life is not guaranteed.
-
Obviously there are some which haven't been mentioned as they played on the records, but haven't been included in the headline act on the list. For example, Mike Peters, bassist with the John Barry Seven. Problem with some of them is nailing down a line-up. Amazed you remain so cheerful with what I would eventually term a millstone - "Ye gods, there's another one dead!"

IIRC wherever the last point on Earth reaches midnight on Hogmanay is the cut off, i.e. wherever you are. So if you are in Oz the cut off time is midnight their time, San Francisco would be different. Don't know how strictly that is enforced though! I think Joey Russ is probably right.

Well, I found something on Paul Mitchell of The Floaters. He's dead: https://www.soultracks.com/story-paul-mitchell-floaters-dies
-
Meant to say he was on Never Mind The Buzzcocks Christmas Special - currently being repeated now. Catch it if you can. Looks much as he has done for years. He sings The Power Of Love at the end and his voice pretty much stands up.

I mean, I'm watching him on Sky playing golf with his son in the PNC Championship. Massive, looks like the blond brother of Bigfoot. Can barely see his face for hair. Edit: Just taken the lead.

So the man and his son are currently leading the PNC Championship at Orlando. "Awesome" apparently that he's back golfing: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/golf/59714270
