From 2018: Now, I'm not in the business of knowing who the Christopher Williams above is, but RnB Stateside songster Christopher Williams was reported ill and in a coma last week. The coma aspect has been denied by his twin brother, but he is hospitalised: https://www.soultracks.com/story-christopher-williams-hospitalized

Bit sad about Alec Monteath, nary a mention of him in the Herald obits. Lachlan was a huge character in Take The High Road.

I'm still zero for all on that game. And loving it, ha! -

Following on from Dean Stockwell's death, I suggest a Theme Team called Beverly Hills Drop, featuring the actors from the Beverly Hills movies. (see Dead of 2021). -
Double crossed baddie in Beverly Hills Cop 2. Lotta talk about trilogies on this Forum (Star Wars, Back To The Future) but not this franchise. Yes, I know a fourth is in the works. Look back at the cast lists from the Cop movies, lots of potential fodder coming in the next some years - they are almost star laden.

Ah, I remember why I was looking for an Estelle Parsons thread...
-
I'm an interested bystander, as I am in most pools this year. Don't worry about me.
-
Don't know or care if it has been brought up elsewhere. The coward prince of comedy failed to show for the debate on the Standards Debacle last week involving his pal Owen Paterson. So where was he? Walking round a hospital in Northumberland. Aww, that's lovely. Except he stormed through the corridors meeting staff MASKLESS. Just stating the facts again. Make your own mind up about the "loveable moptop".
-
I'm not claiming points btw, I just don't remember seeing it. If the points have been awarded to those who need them, fine, I know you were unwell at the time.
-
Did I miss the points award for Amess?
-
Honestly, you look for an Estelle Parsons thread and this unlocked thread pops up. Anyway: Norden: died 19 September 2018. Parsons: died 28 January 2020. My pick of Mugabe died 6 September 2019 for completeness.

Say what? Wrong place posting?

Oh, I don't remember, big stushie anyway about being nailed on obit and didn't. Or maybe she did but it's the gcreptile dame. I always think it's a bit crazy picking someone you've never heard of, I'll leave Tremain to those seeking points.
-
Wasn't there a DDP pick last year or so who was a well known author, Times Literary Supplement, blah blah who actually failed to obit eventually?

Franck Olivier, Belgian born singer part of the multi-lingual group The Internationals, including some British interest, that represented Luxembourg at the 1985 contest, reportedly dead aged 72, certain other sources quote liver cancer: https://www-telesambre-be.translate.goog/le-chanteur-franck-olivier-est-decede?_x_tr_sl=fr&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=nui,sc IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1491415/ Finishing 13th with Children, Kinder, Enfants, which at the time I thought rather jolly: He does some rather "almost" rapping, which is endearing or annoying, depending on your taste.
-
Barry Coope of Coope Boyes and Simpson, reportedly dead: Other sources give a date of death of 6 November. A capella folk.

Cecilia Robinson, couple of Test centuries against Australia in the 1950s, dead aged 97: -
That's what I thought, sure she was older - I just went with Wiki which seems to be wrong, as no access to Times. I think Wiki was amended some point after I picked her which surprised me that she was made out to be younger.

Maureen Cleave for the List of the Missed, last picked by me in 2016: http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2016/celebs_C.html#cleam0

One of my earliest picks on the DDP, journalist Maureen Cleave who had several interviews with the Fabs including the infamous "more popular than Jesus" Lennon quote, dead aged 80 with a Times Obit: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/maureen-cleave-obituary-mn3zn3lph (Paywall). Really sad, RIP. IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2499363/
