If anyone has access to The Times, Philip Fingers Harrison wrote a Lives Remembered in 2016 on the death of Paul McDowell: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/lives-remembered-c5vnv3pjc So Harrison was still about then. Colin Bowles is an enigma. This article from 2015 references the death of "our pianist" in 1988: https://www.messengernewspapers.co.uk/news/11876778.still-making-music-and-mirth-60-years-on/ But given the whole band was revamped, who knows if Bowles remained with them, or came back. I can't find a probate grant from that year for a Colin Bowles, or even for surrounding years. Nothing showing up on the Gazette for that year either. If he was one of the early ones to go, you'd have thought an obit would be forthcoming. Maybe the above Times Article sheds some light?

Doctor Who Advent Calendar. December 18 opened. (Well, it was about time we had the Sontarans and Sarah Jane. Look at the amazing recovery of the Third Doctor!). RIP Jeremy Bulloch.

Fair dos, but this casino has a way of punishing that, ha! Totally arbitrary and dare I say random decision of the manager later. First couple of years it was getting your hits in the subs area rather than the main team, last year it was 5 non-Qobiting main team members. This year, not so clear cut. Not that the Hall of Shame is of any consequence mind in the great scheme of things! I will say it's a DDP microcosm, you can have all the guaranteed deaths you like but they have to be picked up first by the runner and second obtain the QO. Here it's much more risky, because the "might Qobit, might not" pick might be the pick that's holding the card you need to make the hands for the big bonuses, and that might cost you the title. Acht, it's only a game so....
-
Thanks! I can't see one either. And with three non-Qobiting team members, in contention for the toilet portrait Hall of Shame this year! I haven't decided though as there's the small matter of no hits on two teams at all, just subs. Just over a fortnight to go mind.

My main team next year begs to differ! Anyhow, fabulous skin, did not look or sound her age.

George Gibbs special effects worked on Curse Of The Pink Panther and Trail Of The Pink Panther.

George Gibbs, special effects artist who won Oscars for Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, reportedly dead: Also worked on two Pink Panther movies, so I'll probably cross post there in a moment. Flash Gordon and The Meaning Of Life as well. IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0316672/

Good old Gwen Taylor turns up on Doctors today as an old lady. Looks great. And grey. 81 you know.

Unless you are prepared to re-open the scores, add in the missed pick and recalculate everybody's position after 4 years, I'd say no. If Joe Bloggs dies on 30 December but the Qobit appears on 10 January, the DDP ain't going to re-open and change, so definitely not after 4 years.
