Interesting nugget within this Guardian Obit for Bryan Down, electronics engineer, who also was in a band called The Four Folk: https://www.theguardian.com/education/2020/apr/01/bryan-down-obituary Salford based band who had Labi Siffre and Ewan McColl as guests.

Quim said Wormfarmer had the edge on me. As it turned out, Dub-F did for most of March, canny Joker saw me sneak it. Quim's endorsement is generally the kiss of death to Cup teams!

Lol, that's why I got up after noon. Or indeed after Peter Noone, I'm sure he brunches early.

April Fool maybe....Lol. Wednesday 7am Mogadishu time. That would make it 5 am UK time. Somalia you win....Somalia you lose....

Steve Mnuchin's father in law is apparently ill, and they don't know if it's the 'rona. -

Phew, it's all terribly nerve wracking. I'm not even sure at this stage whether I'm through.

Come on @An Fear Beag, get your team in! NOW!!!

I hate NME with a passion. But I love you Deathers, and that's all that matters.

Oh it's an ancient choon (1981). Remember that's still a lotta records sold in the golden age of the vinyl disc. America's big you know. I'd hate to guess, but probably more sold than a lot of UK #1s. But hey, I thought the extra nugget re sampling was worth the post.

Did ok in the US Dance Charts, ah the humanity! George who? Already forgotten about him since he didn't die last year. He'll be the healthiest looking corpse in the morgue when he goes.

Crikey, even Biblio hasn't conceded, c'mon! If An Fear Beag wants to give me a bye, let him, lol!!!

Not as notable as you'd think, but bassist Samuel "Sandy" Anderson, a founding member of soul/disco combo Unlimited Touch, has died of the virus: https://www.soultracks.com/story-sandy-anderson-dies Apparently his bass part and the drums from this number were sampled right on to Faith Evans' All Night Long: Not a hit in the UK, but thought I'd mention it.

Gawd's sake I was watching him interview his brother last night. Chrissy boy was in his home basement and not a studio though.

Gawd, this is tense.

I see what you did there....

I mean I could call upon Deathers here, but that is not a QO for this game imho. I think that site simply lifts bare info from Twitter/Facebook. Surely there must be somewhere, frankly I'm amazed this hasn't even been picked up by Slipped Disc. I'll keep your note in mind, I mean he's a pick on the DDP. Maybe a la Henry Gray The Guardian will surprise us.

Wrong thread?

Thanks, but really there's a long way to go in March. I have a feeling that this one, close as it is, won't be decided until the midnight chimes of tomorrow.
