Rene Goulet being reported dead:
-
I could run the Poker Tourney for a year, but that all rather depends on when I am up and running (if ever) with an internet connection. Problem is would Fish qualify under them there rules?
-
And I'm in! Now to try and get my internet connection down to the new house. Gawd help me, who knows how long it'll take.
-
Thanks DI! I'm rubbish anyway, hardly a contender. I'll PM over shortly.

3 years later, Michael Peacock's death rattle chokes him to the grave: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/michael-peacock-obituary-j2fc8pdbk

Go on, I'll tempt fate. Less than three weeks to go!
-
My 2020 entry has been sent to gcreptile. Good luck everybody!
-
I'm running out of time with my internet connection. Would it be ok to send my 2020 entry later today?
-

2019 General Election - 4 way Clusterfuck or a End to Brexit?
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
So I wake up to a video of Boris Johnson recreating that scene in Love, Actually. Quite clearly he doesn't have a hardon for the woman at the door, he has a hardon for Brexit. What's next? Corbyn grows a plant in his allotment in a spoof of Little Shop Of Horrors, and when the plant screams "Feed Me!" he throws barrels of taxpayers' cash in it's greedy mouth. Jo Swinson boils Boris and Jeremy's pet bunny rabbit (called Brexit, obvs) in her Fatal Attraction to remaining in the EU. Nicola Sturgeon eats England for breakfast while shouting "Get in my belly!" in her Austin Powers parody. -
Troi-less and Distressida. (Little Shakespeare/History pun combined with sci-fi there. Ha!)

No sign of Kate Figes added to the death count? Might that affect the placings?
-
Highest placed faller for me is Frates. Nail, coffin, burn at leisure.
-
I mean there is this for Frates: https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/bcnews/campus-community/alumni/frates-family-statement.html

Twitter reporting the family of Pete Frates have reported his death. Given history, let's see the online newsprint.

Not sure if her death has been reported but Kate Figes has a Guardian Obit to her name: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/dec/09/kate-figes-obituary

3 players saw former Fed Reserve bod Volcker as low hanging fruit. As a result, Death Impends, gcreptile and Joey Russ have some interest to add to this pool! However, the bonuses only go to Joey Russ who hits 8 Spades and as a result his bonuses are as follows: Pair of 8s (Spades and Clubs) - 10 Points; Pair of 8s (Spades and Diamonds) - 10 Points; Two Pair - (8s Spades and Clubs and 6s) - 15 Points; Two Pair - (8s Spades and Diamonds and 6s) - 15 Points; Three of a Kind (8s) - 20 Points; Straight (4, 5, 6 Spades; 7, 8) - 30 Points; Straight (4, 5, 6 Clubs, 7, 8) - 30 Points; Flush (6, 7, 8, 10, K Spades) - 40 Points; Full House (8s over 6s) - 80 Points. That's a total of 250 Additional Points and projects him into second, behind Captain Chorizo whose lead is now not looking so secure. gcreptile now sits in third, with a tiny lead over Clorox Bleachman and Death Impends who are tied for fourth. One turn of one card could now change everything. All to play for then. Leaderboard updated.

Have a perfectly good BBC Obit for Volcker: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50718626

My three usual teams have been submitted and hopefully Grim Up North has them. Good luck everybody.

If you look closely, Farnes is on my list, later corrected by Ulitzer I think who added two more names at that time which probably included Hemingway. Alas, I think I had used a Mirror or Mail article for survivors, rather than a better source. Couldn't be arsed updating my list.

One wonders what jury on Earth absolves someone from calling someone else a pedo [sic]? An American one. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-50695593
