Just a couple of queries on your team pm'ed over @gcreptile. Hopefully we can get these sorted.

Another Wildcard hits the canvas with one team scoring with Big Van Vader. http://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/vader-has-passed-away/

I see Big Van Vader's in the dead school of wrestlers. Edited for Spade's post.

Look at my Hare's Pool team, plenty there for the accursed...ha! In recent times, Starr's stopped signing autographs, become a great-grandfather and been knighted. And it's his birthday soon....

To be fair, I've never had a warning point or been banned. Love you too... -

Well, I apologise if you took it as that. Tbh, I think the honour of starting a Roache thread should go to you Deathray anyway, you're our soap superstar... -

Who is moaning, my friend? I merely expressed my astonishment they didn't exist. I'm content to start threads for people I'm invested in, but as I said, it's better imo to ask first. -

Bill Roache has a Poll question thread. My point is can you possibly justify pulling folk out of a general thread? Starr shouldn't be lumped in with every musician who played on a track, and Roache is probably the most famous soap star in the UK. Otherwise, there would be no named threads.... -

Oh, I should probably add that I have asked whether the mods think it a good idea for a thread to be created in advance. That gives due consideration for our poor mods and admins who will have to wearily add a dead tag at some point. Going ahead without some consideration for the people involved in running the Forum smacks of bad form. -

Two folk I'm astonished there is no thread for are William Roache and Ringo Starr. You know, I'm all for threads for interesting people, but if there is a generic thread where they could go, then I'd say they need to be widely known in the UK to pull themselves out of such a thread, or at least a major public figure. So your Matt Capotellis and John Bains just don't cut it imo. It smacks of "they are on my list, so everyone should be talking about them" kind of thing.... Now my problem is that I'm a little bit older, so folk who are interesting or popular imo may not be for others. Similarly, younger folk may think of people I couldn't pick out of a line up where that person has a big arrow pointing at their head stating in bold "I'm such and such". So I'm open to learning about such folk provided they are a big name. Another criteria might be "Could they make the Deathlist?" but then again, that is open to all the folk trying to get their personal faves on the list.... -
One team thinks by predicting Peter Thomson's death, it's a fairway to get points. Not quite tee to green for a later hit, more a respectable drive.

My sixth hit for my main team, now officially improved year on year. It's sad news, one of the greats. I think it was me last year who pointed out he hadn't been well, courtesy of Peter Alliss' commentary during one of the Majors. Logically, this should go in the Dead Pools section...

I wouldn't have quoted that tweet if I thought there was any doubt she had died. Isn't a granddaughter's report official enough for you, if not for pools?

Think this may well be nigh impossible but I noticed there was a death notice for a Barbara Barron (nee Maddock) who has died aged 98. The notice refers to one of our favourites Denville Hall, so it may be that she is this Barbara Madock (aka Maddock). http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/225085/barron Who knows? Bit part actors, gotta catch 'em all...

You take gentle teasing too seriously ha! I'm content England won, they deserved it. But how can you stand all that sycophantic bullshit from the mike? Here's a few examples from last night: England 1-0 up. "Gareth has really got a great system, it's working well", yada , yada. Last 10 mins at 1-1 "They really are going to have to change this system, it's not working." During first 20 minutes and at the end of the game: "I think you have to agree this is the best football we've seen in the whole competition so far." No, I don't. I think Portugal/Spain was sublime football from start to finish, and Mexico were awesome and much better than your boys. Gawdawful....
