    Carry On Dying

Yeah, caught with my trousers down by others' speculation.
  2. Laura K also has Mark Harper. He has just said that bringing in another Government means the people will lose all the benefits of Tory policies they have now. Say what?
  3. Trevor Phillips had Mark Harper, a formerly reasonable Tory trapped by Cabinet responsibility. Laura K has Security Risk Suella, a raving lunatic in search of power complaining about her and her party's 14 year failure. All like 4 year olds, flailing about in the shallow end of the pool.

Could be idle chatter as I thought. As you were.

    Carry On Dying

Rumours that Kenneth Cope may have become Cope (deceased). Anything more concrete on the Book of Face? Could easily be a hoax at this time of night on a Saturday.

    Death Anniversary Thread

40 years ago today Willie Ormond managed his way out of life aged 57. Played for Stenhousemuir, Hibernian and Falkirk and Scotland, appearing for Scotland in the 1954 World Cup Finals. Managed Scotland to the 1974 World Cup where Scotland were unbeaten - and still were eliminated at the group stage.

    Law And Order

Just found this news that Sheriff Gerard Considine has died: https://www.scottishlegal.com/articles/sheriff-gerard-considine While "only" a judge at Glasgow Sheriff Court, I got quite the shiver. Because Gerry was in my year at University. Can't quite believe he's gone.

Late Breaking! Mike Peters Of The Alarm!

No problem, all appropriate threads are appropriate! Don't know how this diagnosis affects him, however seems treatable and may not be a death sentence. Good luck to him.

Cross posting to the appropriate thread. Notice the similarity with the OP in the opening paragraphs.

    John F. Kennedy

Death notice for James Gochenaur, well known JFK researcher who appeared in JFK Revisited: https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/legacyremembers/james-gochenaur-obituary?id=54667041 Interviewed a couple of Secret Service agents in the early 70s, more particularly Elmer Moore who essentially admitted he was ordered to try and pressure the Parkland doctors into changing their story that the neck wound was an exit wound rather than an entrance wound. Appeared before the Church Commissioners but was never called before the House Select Committee on Assassinations in the late 70s.
  20. Basically it assumes a no change vote in Scotland and Wales where there were no elections and also assumes others such as independents will gain a quarter of the votes. Which is rubbish of course. What should be worrying for Labour is the vote share for them not even achieving 40%. Starmer may indeed be the default PM in due course if the country goes away from the Tories, but he and his party aren't necessarily the debutante you want to dance with at the Victory Ball. However, with every passing moment Sunak doesn't call an election, the worse it will be for them imo.

    Hooroo, Mate.

Max Rowley, sometime actor in such as Sons And Daughter and known for providing the voice over announcements for the Australian versions of Name That Tune and It's A Knockout, reportedly dead:
  22. Ben Houchen discovers Sunak at his side and a bunch of Vote Conservative placards. Astonishing complacency. As I understand it, there's a lot of disappointment in what Houchen has allegedly delivered for them (hence the huge swing of votes against him). Interesting times - at least we know Houchen is a true blue Tory supporter and Sunak supporter.

    Time Added

Various reports that former goalkeeper for Sunderland, Charlton and Brighton Derek Forster has died: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/derek-forster-rip.1632686/ Youngest debutante in England's top flight in 1964 at aged 15 years 185 days, a record not broken until 2022.
  24. Did I just hear that the pandemic and the war in Ukraine was responsible for Andrew Bloggs (Conservative) losing his local Council seat? She's always good value - one step up on the stupidity level from Truss.
